Heated Arm Rest Stopped Working

With temperatures dropping now, I finally activated my heated seats and steering wheel one cold morning (for the first time in several months) — which includes heated arm rests. I noticed that both front passenger arm rests heated up like normal, but only the driver’s left (door) arm rest heated up — whereas the driver’s right arm rest (on the padded center console) was still cold. I’ve tried it multiple times since and no luck heating up the driver’s right arm rest. I checked my settings and the arm rests were correctly set to on/activated. Curious if the heating element or wiring burned out, or a fuse blew? Has this happened to anyone else? My 2019 X5 40i is approaching four full years of use/ownership (only 33K mi), so I’m guessing these little issues are bound to begin popping up? I’ve attached a couple reference photos — the center console arm rests shown doesn’t heat on the left side (driver’s right arm rest) but does heat on the right side (passenger’s left arm rest).

Mine went after about a year and was replaced/repaired under warranty. Just in case it is a software fluke try restarting iDrive.

I gave the reboot a try, and no dice -- still not working. Sadly, I think I'll have to pay for the repair...

Before taking it in, see if the fuse blew for the Driver's Side Control Electronics for Armrest Heating. Its fuse #57, 10A and is located in the passenger side footwell fuse box. Sort of a PITA to get to as you need to remove the passenger side entrance door sill plate, the one that says BMW or M on it and then the plastic trim piece that is at the right foot of the passenger footwell.
