Formula 2 champion Theo Pourchaire is set to join Toyota-powered Team Impul in Super Formula next year, despite initially aiming for a F1 seat in 2024 after winning the F2 title. I think he should've got the F1 seat in 2024 after his triumph in F2 but things sometimes not go according to plan for everyone. Wishing him all the best in his new adventure.

Here's hoping the German government taxes Toto with in a inch of his life.

Mercedes-AMG w/Lewis Hamilton
Red Bull w/Sebastian Vettel
Ferrari w/Michael Schumacher
Ferrari w/Kimi Raikkonen
Mercedes-AMG w/Michael Schumacher
McLaren w/Alain Prost
McLaren w/Aryton Senna
Team Lotus w/Jim Clarke
I have to say that Jim Clarke and Aryton Senna are the two drivers that I would rank with Max Verstappen. Both had their careers cut short or the numbers would show them higher ranked. They, like Max, had a clear mastery of winning. I always tend to rank earlier drivers higher when the fields were large and it was much easier to build a car that could win. Just a Cosworth DFV, good chassis and some cash.

A realistic 2024 goal for Checo is podiums equal to Max's race wins.

That would be a huge improvement over 2023.

2023
Checo - 9 podiums
Max - 19 wins.

New here, but wanted to throw my two cents in. Would love to see Checo kick on next year, but just can't see if happening. Genuinely surprised that RB have kept him on, especially with their driver record!

They never did find exactly why Clark's F2 car crashed into trees and being so badly damaged rear tyre failure at max speed seems plausible.
If only he had chosen to compete at the BOAC 1000km sportscar race at Brands which is what he was originally keyed in for.

Came across this interesting 'clash' between Rosberg and Coulthard when at Nice airport, apparently DC flipped when Rosberg asked him to keep quiet about stories he was sharing with him. Well DC was taken aback at this and everyone looked on as the two shared in a ding dong at each other basically Rosberg putting his foot in it without realising, probably due to the elitist life he has in Monaco.
Anyway, see what you think ..

Yes my friend all I see is the Lions teeth feeding on the others at will again, they will be no match for the new 20 and Checo has to finally sort it to make an impact, no more excuses being beat by FER and Chas.

Promises for lighter, smaller, more nimble cars in '26...
"Central to the changes are new power unit regulations, with a move to fully sustainable fuel, tweaked turbo-hybrids and eradicating the expensive MGU-H element. Additionally there will be major revisions to the cars too, in a bid to ensure that the racing can be improved."
"The cars will be shorter and narrower, as well as 40 to 50 kilos lighter. And there will also be an overhaul of DRS, with a better mechanism promised to increase the chances for overtaking."
Tombazis added: "We are tentatively aiming for wheels that are 16-inch wheel rims, with smaller wheel diameter and smaller width both front and rear."
"We believe that for the next round [of rules in 2026] we'll achieve a much more robust close racing solution."

Formula One ends in 2025. Smaller engines, bigger batteries, narrower tires.

I wasn't hugely into F1 at the time, just on the periphery, but I recall similar statements back in 2014. And yet here we are. People still reminisce about the old days, but the new days are here and F1 is still fun to watch.

If you mean the 1999 and 2008, regulations required the tires to feature a minimum of four 14 mm (0.55 in) grooves in them, with the intention of slowing the cars down.?
How'd that work out?

Or the 2014 regulations that make the card heavier, longer and wider and added KERS. All of wich are slated to go away in 2026.
How'd that work out?
