Is there a glare without any screen protector? I wish there was an option of anti-glare screen protector
I wish I took a couple of pictures before the install so I can do a true comparison but from what I remember, the iDrive screen had a glare but more matte. The new screen protector has a gloss look to it, so the glare can be more present for example when your moonroof cover is open on a sunny day but not noticeable on normal everyday usage.

we should keep an eye on anti-glare screen protectors. I always get anti-glare for iPhone. I will check before installation and take pics. Problem is we don't get lot of sunshine in Portland during winter haha.

nope no more glare than it already had from the factory. I left my plastic factory film on until I installed the glass too

Just be careful when you install the glass screen protector. I tried installing mine today and this is what happened.

I was very careful during the entire process, but a tiny part of the protector (bottom left corner) was not flushed against the screen, and when I gently pushed on it, it cracked.

I was freaked out for a moment because I was fearing damage to the iDrive screen, but luckily nothing happened.

There goes my $13. I'll just get a film protector next time.

I'm glad nothing happened to your iDrive screen. The bottom lower half of the screen protector has to kind of tuck under the panel during install. When I installed mine, I started from the bottom half and aligned it upwards.

i had cheap iPhone glass screen protector and after 3 months there some stuff left on iPhone screen. Now I stay away from non brand iPhone screen protector. When I first saw this post I almost order one. Then I realize so much heat inside the car every day. I was not sure if it going to protect the screen or destroy it in the future.

I doubt it, I had an identical one on my X3 M40i for a year with 0 issues and it gets hot here
