Your X5 would need to be re-coded to allow for remote trunk close (via the interior button or the remote)

I asked my dealer how to do it, and he said it doesn't close.
But I figured out how to close it with the button on the drivers door and I told him how to do it. And he kept trying it on the one in the showroom but didn't work.

Pretty strange.

Since when? I know my G01 X3 doesn't need coding for that to come the trunk. You do have to hold it for s few seconds but it works

And when hot is turned on, to the touch it really is so hot that it would really hurt to keep your hands inside touching the side and bottom.

With this said, how effective the cooling and heating on your drink depends on the shape and thickness and material of your cup.
It is most effective when the inside wall and bottom are completely touched by the cup.

If your cup is insulated or a thermos it'll probably not penetrate the cup.

Still a pretty good novelty feature.

That's a great input, thanks!!!

The 2 week old X5 took another lump yesterday. Wife was picking up the kids from school and felt a tap on the bumper and another lady in an X6 backed into her. By the grace of god it was literally just a love tap no damage at all.

You are one of my forum members that convinced me Carbon Black was the only way to go while I searched for mine. I thank you for the peer pressure.

Thank You holding the button a couple seconds definitely will close the tailgate. Up until now I thought it wasn’t possible.
