Bimmercode is virtually useless still until we get access to the other ECU's basically all you can do is disable ASS or have it remember the last setting.

Hopefully TM get's these out there so we can disable things like ASD, change the instrument panel etc

Disabling ASS was worth the price of the app and adapter as far as I'm concerned. I'd like more, but best money I've spent on the G05 so far.

it doesn't bother me, if you have the AC it heat in the car never shuts down, at least for me it doesn't.

Not sure what you mean by AC and Heat, but I always have AC and heat on with Auto and it shut down constantly. It was beyond annoying, especially inching into a parking spot. Annoying AF. Anyway, to each his own. To me, it was worth twice the price of admission. Anything else Bimmercode might do is nice but not necessary. The ASS was my bane.

Maybe it has to do with how hard they're working because mine rarely shuts the engine down either anything blowing air. I have a 50i so maybe that makes a difference. I agree in the annoying part when it randomly shuts off but it could be worse.

Yeah, could be. I think ASS is also disabled in sport mode, so if you're drive often or always in sport mode it's probably less of a hassle.

But, maybe it's just one more reason to wish I had the 50i!

Sport mode in the 50i is a lot of fun, very unexpected in an SUV this big. Comfort is like Sport+ on the 40i since I test drove a few that's the best comparison. It's hard going back to less power once you have more so I'm glad I got the 50i

I've had a 2014 X5, 2016 X5M and now a 2019 X5, and been wishing they'd do that too but doesn't seem like they will unfortunately

I emailed the Bimmercode developer this week and he said there was no timeline on if or when additional coding features will be available for the G05.

Regardless, it was still worth it to turn off ASS on my G05 and a I coded a few things on my wife's G01 X3 M40i.

They need the untrimmed ECU files that aren't signed in a way that's traceable ie hard to get

THIS!

The ASS in the X5 is a complete joke. Our garage faces an ally and so we do a multi point turn to get into the garage at a straight angle...the ASS would turn off the engine each time we came to a stop to change the gear into reverse or drive (3 times total just to get into our garage). So freaking annoying! There should be at least some sort of delay in there before shutting down the engine.

So glad we could turn it off with Bimmercode.

I bought the app yesterday and coded ASS off again after the dealer upgraded my software. I asked the developer for more options and his response is.

"Hi,
more options will be available in the future, but at the moment I can not tell when this will be exactly."

I would really love to do more coding on the car but ESys has become an expensive endeavor since TokenMaster has stop updating the launcher for free. Now you have to purchase a token for over a hundred bucks! I can live with what BimmerCode can give me for 26 bucks.

So just to be clear, what does BimmerCode offer besides ASS coding? Thanks.

2 Questions:

1) Does it matter what adapter I get from Bimmercode? I don't understand the difference between the OBD MX, Veepeak and Kiwi.

2) Has anyone tried the Carly app and its adapter for coding the G05? They list a ton of more features for the G05.

Yes and my question is which one to buy? Are all the same or does 1 work better than the other or what is the difference between all of them?
