That's why I didn't buy mine in Dallas. I went through an out of state dealer and took courtesy delivery in Dallas anyways

If you want a good dealer to go through DM me. Unless you're on super good terms with a dealer good luck getting a courtesy delivery. The dealer I went through will give you 'invoice' pricing ie ~6.1% off MSRP + incentives

The thread linked above is a good place to see lots of deals. Mine worked out to a 7.5% dealer discount plus rebates/incentives

$76,030 MSRP with gesture credit.
(5720) dealer discount at 7.52%

70,310 sale price
(2000) BMW finance incentive
(1500) Loyatly
(1000) BMW car club rebate

$65,810 (13.44% discount)

I did not trade a vehicle. Doc fee in California is $80.

Paperwork provided by dealer shows the deal going down at invoice minus $1,000, plus incentives/rebate.

I was looking at leasing a 2019 X5 with m appearance package with only first-month payment down and 15K miles a year. MSRP is around $75K however the payments the dealer is quoting me is $1275. What should reasonable payments be?

There are a number of negotiating points on a lease and the data you've provided is insufficient for me. On the surface though, assuming the car really is exactly $75K it seems to be a total rip off. I don't know, however, how taxes are calculated in texas so if you have to pay tax on the full price of the car, then perhaps that jumps things up a bit.

First you want to tell the dealer that you're looking for the best price they can offer on the car (plus incentives like loyalty or any other promotion going on) and that you're expecting the base (not marked up) money factor (fancy leasing term for interest rate) which is currently .00188. You should easily be able to get 6% off the MSRP and perhaps as much as 7-8% off if you work at it a little. On top of that you should get any incentives. I believe loyalty is the only incentive ($1500) on leasing right now if you are a current or recent past BMW owner. Additionally you can join the BMW car club for a 3 year term for about $135 and they will give you a $1000 rebate after you buy/lease.

Bottom line you want to negotiate the best 'purchase price' you can without them screwing you on the interest rate (money factor) or other BS fees.

You may want to read up on leasing and/or get a lease calculator app. Leasehackr.com has a calculator on their website with the option of adding in MSD's (multiple security deposits to lower the money factor). They also have a good "leasing 101" section.

You can def. get better...i was ready to sign on 6% off MSRP but decided to get another quote from a different dealer which got me 8% off without even negotiating

Tax is the main difference with your example. how much tax u owe from trade at dealer whereby that lowers the purchase price aka taxable amount. carmax seems higher but the tax savings have to be considered.

I was trying to say our dealer is low balling the trade-in. I just feel like the dealer is not generous enough to make the deal.

Very similar to my deal except I had a trade. I feel I got hosed but they matched CarMax. Sedans are not very popular. I traded a 2016 F10.

I was told in California we can not get 2.89% APR but 4.55% as the salesman told me 2.89% is for other states. Did anyone get 2.89% APR in CA this month. thank you.
