Wont be missed at all. Why anyone would buy a GT over a Gran Coupe is beyond me.. If you needed more room, go with the X3/x4

As much as the 3series GT is ungainly, the 5/6series GT I have always thought look so gracious and superb...

I am not even joking...

I really like the 5Series GT , but the 6series as you have is a really good car that obviously a lot of people are unfairly underappreciate it...

I am with you there... At least on the larger GT,

but the 3 GT can go die.

Who are the lazy folks putting bikes inside? Do you not ride off road or in the rain? I get my kid in a GTI, our F30 feels stupidly large and won't be missed. Bikes and skis go on the rack. I'm 6'2" and would love an E36 size sedan or wagon.

This is sad news for me as I was hoping to buy a new 3-series, but now, it seems I will be looking elsewhere since there is no Touring and no GT model coming to the US.

If I could get away with a sedan as a DD, I would, but the F30 proved that it doesn't work for my family. I need a hatch for the baby stroller, vacation bags, dog crate in the back (ours doesn't get the privilege of riding shotgun), buying my water softener salt in bulk, etc., etc.

What am I supposed to do? Drive a SUV? Not gonna happen, BMW.

That new Volvo V60 can't get here soon enough.

I agree with the above. The Touring wagon is FAR better and makes much more sense. The GT is so ugly it had to have been made intentionally ugly. There's no way someone drew that thing and a room full of people looked at it and went, "Yup, that looks good, let's make that."

Between the touring and the 4 gran coupe, there is no reason to also have a 3 GT. None whatsoever.

I would have been so angry if they continued making the 3 GT and also axed the manual transmission.

In defense of the 6GT, in M-Sport guise with dynamic handling package, it's a great car. It's far superior in ride, rear seat room and function to the F15 X5 we had previously. Also, it's rarity appeals to me.

There are some ignorant people here. The usual people that judge a car by a picture, and not by actually experiencing one first hand, in the real world. I find that quite pathetic.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I did, I had a loaner for a full day and a half. Awful. Sure it had SUV-like convenience in an ugly package that my wife liked, but that's the only plus it has.

Not sure the major features that a GC offered that you couldn't have with another model...
Well I've had several F30 and the step up to my current F36 was a big choice to focus on design and a wider stance and a more sporty feeling. This model is the best BMW I've had (on my 7th straight BMW so have tried some different models)

Preferred the 3GT to the regular 3-series that's for sure. The 3GT reminded me of a Saab. The regular F30 3-series is just a pitiful car to drive and look at; the worst BMW I've ever driven. I'm sure the 3GT drove as poorly as the F30 but at least it's looks had more character...

Every time I see a person driving one I wonder what had to happen for them to buy it..

Could have said same moment it came out that this abomination would flop. All GT models need be gone.
