Bait and switch?
Check this out. "BMW NA reserves the right to make program changes without prior notification."
https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate Does this apply to the Corporate Sales Programs only? I'm buying as an individual off the street. I have the $2,000 rebate for BMW financing and a $500 USAA rebate line item stated on the order. My sales manager recently told me that what is stated on the bottom line of the order is what I pay when I questioned the numbers, again. Can they legally (if not ethically) move the goalpost? If so that's pretty chicken shit. Also I'm confused as to when you need to apply. Based on all the reported problems of this new machine I may bail on the deal at the last minute, upon delivery. Accordingly, I only wish to apply for membership should we accept the car. I guess I need to call them up but this is what's in writing which seems contradictory: 1. Have you purchased a three year membership no later than 15 days after your vehicle Purchase/lease? 2. TERMS AND CONDITIONS A membership requirement may be met in one of two ways: A membership of one year or more immediately preceding the delivery date of the vehicle is required to take advantage of this program. A member in good standing cannot have any lapse in membership during that 12-month period. A non-refundable membership of three or more years purchased on or before the purchase date of the vehicle may immediately qualify a member to apply for a rebate. |

The USAA discount is not a separate line item on my buyers contract so do you guys think I'll have an issue?

See mine isn't noted like that so I'm hoping it won't be an issue.

BMWCCA reviews the rebate application. Then it goes to BMWNA for approval. I think they verify with the dealer what rebates were included in your deal. I bought an F10 3 years ago and my BMWCCA rebate was disallowed because a USAA rebate was included in the deal. Now that I have been informed that you cannot get both I am going to forgo the $250 USAA incentive in favor of the $1000 BMWCCA rebate.

Android - mine ($500) was subtracted from the negotiated price. For example: if I had negotiated $68,500. When I brought in my USAA voucher and they drew up the bill of sale, the number used for the vehicle price was $68,000

Like I said here, sales manager agreed to eat the losses.

I agree with that. I was told BMWNA will review the orders in the system prior to payment. If they see a conflict they won’t pay. If yours has no reference to it then no problem. In a post above the person had it as a line item. That would be a problem and they might not pay.

The language states only corporate / sales fleet programs can not be used in combination with CCA. They did not communicate that USAAA was now in they category. The only way someone would know is if you call to verify. Sounds like someone made a decision to cut costs. |

I think the dealer submits to get the $250 and BMWNA is in the loop and thus denies the CCA rebate.

There is no snippet to show. The Purchase Contract doesn't show anything specific to USAA - other than "Price of Unit" which is $500 less than we agreed to/was negotiated. BMW took my USAA voucher on delivery day - which had my unique offer code, etc on it. And then BMW wrote up the contract with a "Price of Unit" that was $500 less... then deducted trade in and other non-USAA rebates.
Who knows - they may have just decided to take $500 off the price of the vehicle on not deal with processing the voucher. |

GOOD NEWS!! I just received this email from the BMWCCA. I hope this helps anyone who has recently purchased or is in the process of buying a BMW who also qualifies for the USAA incentive.
Rewards@bmwcca.org 7:36 PM (50 minutes ago) to me Randall, I hope you have not purchased this car yet because BMW NA just told us that they have changed their mind and will combine USAA with our rebate. .Please also inform your friend that was questioning it that as of today BMW NA is allowing USAA for all 2019. They can submit and qualify. I am so sorry for all of this confusion and back and forth. Please enjoy both rebates!! There will not be another update on this, I promise. Tricia
