I believe the remote start isn't legal in Europe. It's not legal in at least Sweden, instead we get a heater that we can start remote that heats up the car and makes the windows ice free

I prefer 'silence' and have gone with the acoustic glass so don't really care what it sounds to the bystander :-). Did NOT order M-Sport exhaust, sorry.
I doubt this will be allowed in the UK. Rule 123 of the highway code makes it illegal to have a parked car running while stationary and/or unattended.

"The Driver and the Environment. You MUST NOT leave a parked vehicle unattended with the engine running or leave a vehicle engine running unnecessarily while that vehicle is stationary on a public road. Generally, if the vehicle is stationary and is likely to remain so for more than a couple of minutes, you should apply the parking brake and switch off the engine to reduce emissions and noise pollution. However it is permissible to leave the engine running if the vehicle is stationary in traffic or for diagnosing faults"

Both the Volvo XC90 and all the Land Rover range remote start and run with the right equipment level. Remote start and run is perfectly legal on private property i.e. your driveway so is perfect for early starts, this is regardless of any local legislation.

The G05 in UK doesn’t have the parking heater option. I have it on my F15 and it’s amazing, this alone is steering me towards a Cayenne. Seems really odd as the parking heater is available in other European countries as well as on the X3 in the UK in both petrol and diesel guise.

Surely Range Rover (JLR) is not flouting the law as I know they have remote engine start which allows there car to be started from miles away using the phone app. This is a disappointing that BMW have chosen to disable the feature in UK.

Fair point, I guess it would be legal on private property. I doubt it would be used only on private property though so becomes a grey area for the manufacturer, and I guess BMW haven't allowed it yet.

Wasn't there some other legal concern in the UK re. the coasting feature? It was disabled on my 2014 build F15 but could be enabled via coding, and became a standard feature on later builds.

This is upsetting, I would have chosen the heating pack otherwise. Maybe all the talk in the US of coding etc means someone will figure out how to activate it. The Panamera eHybrid uses the electric system to heat and is invaluable.

Will try myself this week...hopefully!

Best quote I've had so far is 14% on factory order. Aiming to get circa 17% off a stock vehicle once stock has built up.

Love the Artic Grey, thanks for posting. I have been waiting to see this colour in the flesh. I'm on my second Carbon Black F15 and whilst I think the G05 looks great in Carbon Black it's time for a change.

The 22" alloys look great but I'm concerned about damaging them with 30 profile tyres. I also like the security of RFTs just a shame that the 21" don't look so good.

Keep us updated on your overall mpg. I'm tempted to go petrol

Just wondering if your happy with the car and if you’ve encountered any issues?

I have the exact same car as you for a 1st March delivery (can’t wait). It got delivered to the dealer yesterday.

Still not sure on the front grill, I’m waiting for you to hopefully post pictures when you’ve fitted your IND grill.

Hi
It's a company car on lease so I was able to get my monthly lease down slightly but I'm doing 20k per years in miles which doesn't help 😂

There are no pics because the finance people c*cked up and have just spend the last 2 days trying to sort it. Really badly managed but they have matched my previous deal with a lower interest rate saving circa £80 a month on finance. So I am happy.

I could not bring myself to log in as was too depressed!! Pics will follow later today/in the morning. 4pm collection.

I also now have buyer's regret of not ticking every single options box. Maybe I did need a heated elbow?! ARGH. Never mind
