I can understand that, and in fact I just ordered these tires for our incoming G05 using the Discount Tire Black Friday deal, and they will be run year round...however, we are in Tennessee and our snowfall is minimal. I think most on here would agree that the all season tire is a compromise in handling in the summer and winter...jack of all, master of none. I don't need top level dry handling on my wife's X5, nor do we get the snowfall to justify dedicated winters (but it does get cold here so summer tires year round is not in the cards), so an AS tire makes sense for us. If you are in an area that gets significant snowfall, a dedicated winter tire is the most advisable way to go, unless you have another vehicle you can drive when the weather turns really nasty.

I’ve got about 2000 miles on mine now. Driven in snow, no problems. I would not hesitate to get these tires. I have never had issues in winter with all season tires.

Just had mine mounted today. Will report back after some miles but first impressions are that they ride smooth and quiet with no noticeable loss of steering feel. Was too cold today to push their traction limits.

Hi guys,
Do you find any issues with those tires, especially regards transmission box? They only AS option and my local dealer refused to install them as they said can damage transfer box in X5. Last edited by pavloPL; 12-04-2020 at 04:30 AM.. |

My reaction as well at dealer Just want to double check if they developed some issues, as here dealers would use any argument to void your warranty.

They are OEM size. Same rolling diameter as bmw 22 summers. More likely the dealer cant get them in at the price they want, or they are not allowed to as they dont have the BMW approval. What rubbish about damaging transmission. These dealers will feed us so much crap. I’m running 20 inch general grabber AT3 in the winter which also aren’t Bmw approved but they are OEM size. No way will it invalidate your warranty.

Seems like they wear out extremely fast.. I'll probably avoid. They might be a money grab for Bentley owners who don't care anyway?
Contis OK that's what I got but they seem to have some road noise maybe they'll quiet down after a couple K |

Is this based off your personal experience with the tires (the tires being the All-Season 22s)? That they "wear our extremely fast"? If so could you please provide a bit more detail, otherwise why would you make such a claim?

This is a thread about the P Zero All-seasons. Your Contis are summer tires, so not really a suitable comparison. And what evidence do you have that the P Zero all-seasons wear out extremely fast? Tire life doesn't tend to be a priority or an expectation for 5000+lbs performance SUVs with 500+hp.

I just ordered these from Tirerack.com. The fronts are on backorder. I will keep people up to date on how they work. Makes more sense to buy these if you actually get the 50k miles out of them. That is 20k+ more miles for about $400 more when compared to the summer tires. Makes sense.
