RaceChip for G05 X5 40i and 50i now Available!!!

I finally installed the GTS Black on my 2023 X5 Msport 40i. Was super easy to install WERE IT NOT FOR THE F-ing bmw electrical connector clips. Damn those things. I hope whoever invented those gets tortured in the afterlife by being forced to remove them from thousands of vehicles... yes I broke a few of the clips but f-it.

Car does run much nicer and I can't wait to hear what it sounds like after my Evo Raceworks catted downpipe which is being installed today

Installed my Racechip today- VERY happy running it on map 6! With the BMC filters, Active downpipes it really is moving and sounding awesome! You really can feel the difference in power for sure guys!

I'm getting the LIEB CEL Delete installed on Nov 30 and should be able to do some draggy runs a few miles after. Currently lots of rain and cold weather in Austin so not going to push my tires since they are summer high speed tires…

I can't wait to see the results. As for the tires, I get it. My x5 is stuck in the garage with a space heater running to keep it above 45 degrees.

Just installed the RC GTS Black on my M50i.
Definitely noticed a difference in the default Sport setting. Tried the Race setting briefly but need to test some more to describe the difference.

Is the mapping for Sport putting the torque and power lower down in the power band, more suitable for street driving and Race focusing on the mapping higher up the rev range for more of a racing environment?

I had read somewhere that the difference between the X5M and M50i is the horsepower is obviously greater in the X5M but the torque curve and power is identical. So wondering if the RC is kind of doing the same thing?

So got this from Racechip tech support.

Thank you for contacting the RaceChip Customer Service.

The chip only works in the rev range until 3000 rpm. The higher the mode, the more power and torque.

The rev range will be the same and will not change.

So the chip programming kicks in at 3000 RPM+. The different settings Eco, Sport and Race just incrementally increase the torque and power in the same area of the rev range.

Very easy install process, once you understand how to undo the sensors without breaking the plastic clips. I used a smaller sized flat head to stick in there to release the clips, then they just slide open. I learned the hard way, after breaking the first clip I found a tool and went slowly, gently.

You've only 3 or 4 clips to deal with. It took me about 15 minutes total. 10-12 of that was waiting for the car to fully shut down to begin the process.

The instructions are thorough and easy to follow.

Soon you'll be gapping stock x5's! Enjoy.

First poster here...so sorry if my question has already been answered in a previous thread. Anyone have details on install for '22 X5 M50i? The paperwork that RaceChip included with purchase shows an engine that doesn't look anything like mine.

I am the furthest from mechanically inclined, so looking at my motor...well, I might as well be like a boy having sex for the first time. I know what I'm looking at, but have no idea what to do with it.
