Nice ride, wish the height was lower to make look more sporty.

That looks like it still has transport suspension supports in place before delivery prep. This car never rides that high.

Maybe it is yet another variant:

X5 ///M Competition Off-Road Special Edition

I mean, seems BMW has been trying for years to get to a naming convention that prevents them from tweeting model names, right? So it could be!

Let's hope that is it.

Nice. Thanks for sharing! This car will be sold quickly to the buyer with a strong preference for Tuxedo look.

Tanzanite is a priority 1 order, doubt you'll see on dealership lots unless it was a cancelled order.

You'll enjoy Tanzanite on your F96, as I have it on my F83. I decided to go with Marina Bay Blue for my F95 when I order in the fall, as it "pops".

Just curious - are you waiting until the fall to order your F95 so you can get a model year 2021 or is it just the timing when your current lease expires (or something unique to your situation)?

I ask because I have an F95 on order now in MBB with SS interior, but my production week has been pushed from 14 to 21...and now I’m thinking about just cancelling an waiting a couple MORE months to just get a 2021. Just interested if anyone is thinking along the same lines.

It's due to the timing of my current lease, as to I need to submit the BMW CCA rebate for a 2021 sign date for the X5M as I will submit a rebate this year for another M4 vert lease. Only 1 rebate per calendar year.

SS is a beautiful interior, as my current M4 vert and replacement are full SS.

I would cancel your order for a MY 2020, and see what new options are added for MY 2021 if you don't mind waiting an other 4 months.

Thanks. Yea, I’m leaning toward that path forward - I like the idea that perhaps the 2021 will have a couple new options (e.g. LED Sky Lounge). It would be one thing if the dealer was giving me a meaningful discount on the 2020, but they’re not (at least not yet), so there just isn’t much incentive to pull the trigger in June on a 2020 if the 2021s can be ordered 60 days later for virtually the same cost.

The only caveat is that I have a sales tax credit sitting with this dealership from a car I traded in last Thanksgiving - under TX law they can only apply that credit on the purchase of my new car if I take delivery of the new car within 12 months of that date. So if ordering a 2021 means that I can’t take delivery of it before about Nov 25th 2020, I lose the credit (which is worth ~$7,500).

We’ll see. There is really no need to make a decision now anyway as nothing is getting produced for 2020. Just need to see how things play out over the next few weeks (or longer) before production starts again.

You'll receive your F95 prior to November 25, as the Greer switch over is always August. September 2020 production slot is adequate time.

Who gave you permission to be outside?!? Were you shopping or getting service at our local dealer—was it crazy quiet there? Did you ever end up transferring your F15?

Totally. Most pics of the F95 and F96 show way too much negative space in the wheel well. Some angles are worse than others. I know its an SAV, but its not a damn F150 for Christ’s sake.

I know it just came out, but does anyone know how difficult it would be to lower? Would it impact the ride - making it even firmer?

I would wait for the MSS lowering springs. They proved to be the best and most comfortable solution for X3M. Basically, you lower the car without sacrificing the ride comfort.
