Test Drove F95 today

I was fortunate to test drive a F95 comp today and left feeling dissappointed. I have had 2 E70M's and 2 F85's and currently have an F90 so tend to think i have experience with these cars.
I was impressed with the acceleration and speed as well as the suspension but the steering was just strange for my exprience in an M car. It was very light and felt disconnected. All i can describe it like was it was very floating. I tried the different steering levels. but only two were available, comfort and sport, No sport plus was available. Is this normal or did I have it set wrong? Also frustraing that the individual engine, suspension and steering selection buttons are not available on the center console like they are on the F90 and even the X3M.
This particular car had the Pirellis not the Michelins so possibly that had something to do with steering feel.

Question to those that have this car already. Is the steering always this light feeling? IS there only two selction criteria for steering sensitivity , not three like engine and suspension?

One other peculiar item, The Comp badge on the cupholder cover. Are they all crooked like this one?

There is no way that badge is suppose to look like that all crooked.

Strange about your experience. I don't think i've seen any review that felt the same way. Did this car have alot of test driven miles on it?

No car had 31 miles on it. I agree reviews did not mention steering which is why I was somewhat questioning this particular car.

I just saw one on Monday in person at my local dealer (didn’t get a chance to drive it) and I don’t believe the badge was crooked. I even pointed out the badge to my wife and showed her the heated/cooled cup holders, so I’m sure one of us would have noticed if it was crooked. Weird.

Too bad about the steering. I hadn’t heard that yet. Bottom line is that it sounds like a dealer breaker for you? Sure looks the part in person...at least the one I saw.

I've been looking at the X5MC on a couple of dealer websites and I think the crooked looking badge is a thing. I thought it was just how the badge looked in the picture, but you confirmed my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.

You can see it in the pics of the one black X5MC BMW of Riverside has in stock.

Wondering if the car you test drove someone ripped it off and the dealer had to add it back in which is why its still more slanted than the other cars.

I love the steering on my F95. Hated how light it was on the previous gen x5.

Garage List
Lower part of dash is not strait across, optical allusion? This would make the logo look off

I would prefer to have the least amount of badging and advertising as possible. Can you remove the badge from the console? It is just a sticky badge like on the hatch?

If it doesn’t say competition you won’t be able to compete with it though right?

LOL, definitely not but I am not in competition with anyone. Plus you'll lose HP by "debadging".

It is a sad reality when my CLS or even my son's Mazda 6 has better steering feel than most if not all BMW's. I'm glad that they still excel in other areas, but for an M car, I expect better, especially since they can't use the excuse that "customer's want less feel" that they use on the regular 3-series models since their M cars are supposably designed for enthusiasts.

That badge would really mess with my OCD i would want a de-badge option as I personally think it looks tacky anyways.

There is only 2 steering settings for the F95, comfort and sport. FYI the BMW M engineers prefer comfort steering setting especially when tracking a car and Pirelli is preferred over Michelin.
