Is slow speed braking normal to squeak?

Yes.. BMW will even tell you its normal for M series brakes to squeal..
Do yourself a favor before it drives you mad.
Replace them with iS1500 or iS2000 brake pads from Ben.

Has anyone managed to get BMW to take a look at the brakes? It's embarrassing lol. I didn't even realize how bad it was since I usually ride with the windows up.

Can't they apply anti squeal lube on the backs of the brake pads?

I rather not switch away from OEM pads since I like the instant bite and overall braking power. Dislike the noise and dust though..

So I had this issue on my F10 M5. Someone on the M5 forum recommended Meguiars wheel and tire cleaner (purple bottle). So next time I washed it I used as recommended and sure enough the squeak from the brakes was gone. It wasn’t a long term solution so when it would come back I just washed the wheels again. Not guaranteeing it will work but it worked for me and some others.

Many people have complained and BMW will even give you a statement that says its normal for an M series cars because of the so called high performance brakes.
Unfortunately you only have one option and that is to change them out for IS1500 or IS2000 brake pads. I have the IS1500 and i cant tell the difference from stock except for the fact they don't squeal and have next to no brake dust..
It's one of the best mods i ever did.

Mine just started to squeal. What's the difference between the two?

IS1500 low dust / same bite as stock.
IS2000 less dust / more bite than stock.

Ballpark what low dust means. My wheels are covered in OEM dust 3-4 days after a wash it seems.

Hard to say, depending on how you drive and traffic condition.
On my regular commute from home to office, after wash, it only lasted me 1 day with stock pads.
With IS1500, lasted about a week. IS2000, lasted about 4-5 days.

Is the IS2000 pad a faster wearing pad or destructive to rotors?

My audi brakes work well, have good feel, yet squeak when its cold, car has been sitting a bit or after a rain, and dealer says it's normal. Sounds like these M brakes are 20 times worse and dirtier.

Thanks.

Stock calipers and pads are amazing. Yes they make noise if you obey all posted speed limits. Drive it hard and brake hard and they wont make noise.

Brake hard on every stop? Or real hard braking periodically? Mine are squeaking like crazy, and I don't baby it, but I also am mindful of passengers and people behind me.

A proper bed-in once a month does the trick. But if I hear them squeak then some aggressive driving quiets them down for a few days until I can bed-in.

I wouldn't do either with passengers or traffic.

Buying the IS1500 pads was the best decision I've ever made. Frankly, it's allowed me to keep the car, as this is my wife car and the squeal was driving her insane. The dealer was of very little help. They were nice enough to swap the pads for free. The lack of dust is unbelievable and I found I'm washing the car less, as the wheel were usually the driving force behind washing the whole car. Now washing is much less of a chore since the wheels take a fraction of the time to clean. Must have upgrade.

Where is the best place to get these pads? Do I need to change the rotors too since they are Grooved from the OEM pads?
