I wanna play injury game. Ruptured disc lower back @ 25. Another ruptured disc @ 35. Broken hand 2x and a bunch of stitches mostly to face. Only lingering effect is foot numbness and occasionally pinched nerves in back. Neck will probably be next, there are disc issues in there for sure. I used to hope to see 30, now I'm approaching 50 and just wonder how I'm going to make front page of paper when I check out.

I went to a building once to meet a customer of mine for a job site walkthrough. He comes limping up to the meeting. I asked what happened and he said he had a hip replacement done 3 weeks earlier!! Surprised the crap out of me that he had so much mobility after only 3 weeks.

I'm just like a BMW. High performance, stylish, beautiful interior, but needs a lot of maintenance. My 2nd disc the doc nicked spinal sheath. WOW was it painful. 15 out of 10. Had to spend 30 days on my back. No standing or sitting unless absolutely necessary. Lucky it was during Olympics so I had 3 weeks of decent TV. Laying on floor with feet touching my 52".

2 complete (Full Thickness) Rotator reconstructions on the right shoulder.

Every finger on the right hand has been broken

Left Ankle broken and dislocated, all ligaments torn that stabilize the ankle....

Torn hip flexor muscle....host of feet issues from YEARS of running and jumping...

Of all of my falling, bouncing off of concrete, wooden ramps, parking bumps, metal hand rails, dirt ramps, trees, having mtn bikes and dirt bikes pouncing on me after crashing, etc... i've been fortunate enough come away from that with just a hairline ankle fracture. Even more surprising that i grew up in a time where protective equipment wasn't worn. That in addition to my weight at the height i am, i always joke that my bones must be made of platinum. When i was 235 most people would guess that i was 175-180 pounds. lol

I refuse to get an MRI on my back. I'm not going to stop being active so i don't even want to know how fucked up it is.

Most significant injury came from tennis of all things... aside from the rolled ankles from divots on soft courts, i've got a torn labrum from rocket serves. For which i declined surgery, took some shots and did some PT to build up the supporting muscles. Been working so far. TRX is great for that. Works all of your core and intrinsic muscles without stressing any one group too much.

Been there, done that, and it's not the worst.

My list is:

• Complete cutting off index finger as a 5 year old cutting out Xmas tree in cardboard with a razor knife
• Broken femur right leg/collar bone skateboarding
• Broken tailbone connanballing of cliff into shallowish water
• Broken tibia/fubula, skiing
• 3rd degree burns (oil) right hand, 2nd degree on face (the most pain)
• Fractured c spine, led to fusion C3-5 with Ti plate
• Left bicep distal tendon separation - bicep snapped up to my shoulder

Plus a handful of broken fingers.

Spine thing there sounds exceptionally unpleasant...

Of all the injuries I had, tailbone was the most pain in the ass... Nothing could be done without excruciating discomfort... I hated even doing a number 2... Sleep was, pretty much not happening either...

Ughh... Bad memories...
