What is dynamic handling professional package?
Hello guys,
I’m ordering an X6 M60i and here is my current build Manhattan green metallic Tacora Red Sensafin 22’ 742m black non-rft Carbon fiber trim Driving assistance pro package Dynamic handling pro package M sports professional package Parking assistance package Anthracite headliner Front and rear heated seats The dynamic handling pro package is 2200 and includes adaptive m suspensions, and active roll stabilization. But watching a video on YouTube, someone said the adaptive suspensions come standard, so I’m not sure what this package does. Does anyone know what this dynamic handling package helps with and if this package is worth it? If it’s not much value, id rather replace it with the executive package for 1850. Thanks |

The package includes the active anti-roll bars (sway bars). It minimizes body roll during cornering, so you will feel planted. It would definitely get it for that price.
Porsche and Mercedes charge much more for theirs! |

DHP is not available on the X5 M60i (just called Apdative M Suspension Professional) but is on the X6 M60i, although the package contents are the same. Starting with the LCI, IAS is standard so the option now includes 2VW Adaptive M Suspension Professional as well as ZX5 Active Roll Stabilization.
All suspensions for the X5/X6 are adaptive but 2VW will be tuned to be the sportiest of them all and ZX5 provides the flatest driving experience possible.

See above, I was referring to the X5 and X6 as far as the difference in the naming of them.

To give you a reference point - that singular feature created in my mind and driving experience such a night-and-day difference, that I decided to drop my 7 series and go for the X5 M60i (ordered at the end of November) I’ve never had an SUV in my life. Always considered them to be evil incarnated for the sole purpose of creating road rage among the proper road users driving sedans and other normal cars . And also avoided them because every time I drove one it made me sea sick due to the bouncy ride And then one day I drove a friend’s X5 M50i, and later another LCI X5 on adaptive M (not pro) as well as an LCI X5 on air suspension. Both the steel sprung and the air sprung vehicles felt exactly as I would have expected them to - bouncy and evil The friend’s M50i with the option you’re considering was vastly better. And yet, more comfortable than my 7 series. So there you have it. A no-brainer must-have mindset-bending option, as far as I’m concerned

Get both executive and DHP. I would skip the 22s if I had to cut something to make the numbers work. At the end of the day, it's like $2k on a $100k car.
My M50i has it, it wasn't a must have for me, because despite reading everyone say how great it was, I thought it was silly. I was wrong. It's great. On top of it decoupling for comfort (not a selling point to me), it really tightens up the sway bars in turns, giving it really flat cornering and loads of grip. I think it also includes 4 wheel steering and something else. Like I said, skip the 22s if it's a cost issue, you can always add 22s later if you want, and the tires for the 22s are crazy expensive and there's like, one non summer only option? |

In the X5 M60i, one has to give up Air Suspension to option the M Adaptive Pro (or DHP for X6), so if the 22” wheels are selected, how does the X5 M60i ride without Air Suspension?

The M50i rides "German" with steel springs and DHP to me. It's firm but comfortable and supple. They did an excellent job with chassis tuning on the vehicle. It doesn't have the float of an air ride. I would expect the M60i to be the same. I would pick any option that got rid of air ride personally. Air ride dynamics are just wrong, with the lower your ride is (for sporty driving), the softer your springs are. IMO, air ride only belongs on floaty luxury cars, and helper bags on things that tow. It all depends on your personal preference/perception and what type of ride you are looking for. If you want the sportiest ride possible then get DHP, if you want the most comfortable while still providing some sportiness then get air. If you really have no preference stick with the standard. Hopefully for the M60e they will offer DHP as an option so, like the X7, you can get it in combination with the air suspension.

Better than a G11 7-series on full air and 21” wheels. That’s according to my own experience of owning the 7 and having a few rides (long) in an DHP-equipped X5 M60i

lol whats wrong with the color combo. I think that looks better than most. The Isle of Man green is way too conspicuous for me, and I’d have don black sapphire but it would be too bland with the black 22 wheels and I don’t like any other wheels they offer.
And if I go with the darker green and black rims, the interior has to be brighter. Open to suggestions though? |
