Guys remember people want to put huge tariffs on our lovely vehicles (imported parts hurt the X series) so if that happens we will be stuck with superb American made stuff /s

It may be a toxic environment but it is wrinkle-free.

The article literally said there's no proof. I'm not defending Ford but the article showed in many different parts that much of this is just claims from a few owners who provided no evidence (besides the fact they got lightheaded) to back their arguments.

This has been reported for well over a year now. Having medical proof among others than have tested the air quality while driving is pretty definitive. I work in the energy sector and have a gas monitor which among other things can pick you up CO2 levels in PPM I'm sure it would be going off in one of these all day long

Portable CO detectors have been proven to be unreliable and are tricky (especially for average people) to calibrate. I also haven't seen any medical proof besides people claiming they became lightheaded or dizzy and there also was the Police Intercept vehicles which had CO leak problems but that was a totally separate incident (it was due to police modifications).

I have a professional grade one used for actual testing before entering a confined space and other OSHA regulated stuff. It gets calibrated once a month sometimes more often so it's accurate. I don't use it anymore but I know the readings are correct.

We use things like this (not this exact model but you get the point) https://www.gasdetectorshop.com/PGM-...p/multirae.htm

Yeah, I'm not defending Ford either, I have no dog in this fight, but the stuff I read after the Toyota uncontrolled acceleration debacle regarding the mix of crowd psychology and media hysteria and media feeding off itself was fascinating. This seems wiggly enough, it could be the same thing.
"I smell exhaust". Well, you are driving on a road where there are other vehicles, some with non functioning emissions equipment.
"I'm lightheaded". Literally a million reasons that could happen.
"I can't recreate the circumstances, but it happened. I saw it on the news, I know that happened to me". OK.
Or it could be real. I don't know. But I take everything uttered by humans with a grain of salt. 'Cause, you know,... they're humans.

Very true. Would rather deal with the occasional electronic gremlin than a steady poisoning.
