According to my dealership, there is supposed to be a software fix in late March.
This is a good description of what we intermittently experience in warm weather.

And I do indeed have a MB 2018 S450V. Didn't bother to get it out of the garage. This car is amazing.

And, there's the wife's new 2019 BMW X5 50i. I'll stand by for a friendly apology from the guys calling me a troll.
It's hard to compare anything to an S-Class Mercedes. Hopefully you aren't expecting the X5 to be that good. That said, I love my X5 40i but it's definitely not on that level.

This owner had a similar 'unstable' experience in 65 degree weather.

Did this issue ever get fixed?

I was really unhappy with my 40i right out of the gate. Your contempt for the execution of the vehicle seems very similar to mine. I think it's mostly that, for the large amount of money ones pays (100k in your case), one has 100k worth of expectations. And when those expectations are not met on many fronts, it's very frustrating. I've since calmed down and I accept the beta-ness of the g05 (Until I trade it away 2 or 3 years hence)

One idea though...my F15 50i was extremely sensitive to tire air pressure. 2 or 3 lbs less than recommended would see it wandering and grabbing the 18 wheeler grooves. Improved when I put PZeros on, but still quite sensitive to pressure. Handled great when pressure was spot on.

BTW, this is my last BMW too.

Nice cars! What's happening with your G05? I hope you are getting your issues fixed.

BTW, that 530 photo you shared must be at least a '97 since its an E39. That brought back great memories. The E39s I had were among my favorite sedans.

The great guys on this forum are a wellspring of quality information and I've followed a great deal of the advice in the setup etc. The bottom line for me is I've run out of patience at these prices. And I can't exactly go into the dealership with "I have an intermittent problem I can't really describe" and expect to be taken seriously. I'll get the big fixall firmware update if it isn't just vaporware whenever it appears but I'm never putting up with this again.
Can't read the radio? Polarized sunglasses? Try tilting your head.

Can't help you with the stability issue, but as others have said, yours seems to be the outlier, so I'd give the dealer a chance to fix whatever is causing the problem
