Front License Plate solutions

Oregon requires front license plate. I got my license plates today. The dealer said you may only get a ticket if you are parked on street in metered parking and it will be about 80$.
Is it worth it to get front license plate mounted? I am definitely not drilling holes or mounting it on the side like those Cravenspeed (which is from Portland Oregon btw) I have seen those side ones and look ugly. Any other options for front license plate mounts?

I never run one personally and have gotten about 7 warnings so far (my X5 still has temp tags). The mount Doc5313 is really nice and might make me run a plate for once

I drove my previous car for two years after moving to Oregon without front plate and never got ticket. I parked on street so many times.

In Texas, where I live they proactively pull you over for no front plate but don't ticket people for speeding which totally makes sense. I can go 125mph down the highway but can't drive without a front plate.

I got a ticket for no front plate coming back from Mt. Hood once. I've never risked it again. Wasn't worth it. The tickets are around $80 a pop.

This mount I posted allows for as close to midline adjustability as possible, given the sensor placements. Yes it is off-center. But a hell of a lot better then the further lateral placements of the towhook mounts.

Sounds like they're a**holes there for not at least giving you a warning first.

I wonder if it would be legitimate to use a license plate with the Euro dimensions (~4.5"H X ~20"W) that shows the state of issuance and state issued plate number. IMO, the Euro plate dimensions fit the front of the X5 (and other BMW's and many other cars) better than the 6"x12" US plates.

The answer is quite possibly going to be state specific and I've looked online here in CO to try and see if the law specifically requires one use the state issued plate or if an equivalent plate showing the state information (state of issuance and number) would be acceptable, but so far haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

Anybody have an idea or info on this?

I ran into this: https://carbonio.com/products/bmw-fr...nt-msport-cell
I wonder if that would work with X-line design. No Adaptive Cruise Control sensor in mine

I explored the no drill option but eventually went with the drilled one. The dealer said, you are never going to remove the License plate bracket to expose the holes so what is the point.
