[HZX540e]

It happened twice so far. I triple click the key fob and the car starts for less than 5 seconds and shuts off on its own. The car will start normally if I get in the car and start with brake pressure and ignition.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

The car is 100% stock with no mods.

Are the below requirements met? Usually this is a sign that the car thinks that one of the below is violated.

You can also activate remote start by triple pressing the BMW logo/lock button

Maybe the battery thing because I've been leaving the parking side lamp on.

OMG, every time i look up i'm learning something new that this car does. Thanks for the heads up on the triple press. So much easier than pulling out my iphone and going through the app.

Can you clarify how this is done? I went into KEY settings and didn't see that option and tried just hitting the logo 3 times while in the car to see if it would bring up a screen/prompt to activate but nothing happened other than trying to lock the car.

I believe its under pre conditioning in the menus.

FYI..I tested the range and I can get almost 200 yards away and the remote will still work.

Do you realize he's talking about pressing the lock button on the key FOB 3 times quickly to start or once started, to stop the engine?

Yes, thanks....I didn't have the remote start feature activated in Climate Control. I was looking under key and not climate.

You will find if you try to remote start from the app sometimes there can be up to 30 seconds to one minute delay before the car gets the signal from the satellites. I find using the key fob works through walls even when I’m standing in the checkout line if I can see the car in the parking lot it always starts using the fob.
