Brakes question coming from F90

I've searched this forum about brakes and most posts are about dust, but was curious if they squeal like the F90's do. I'm used to it after owning an F10 and F90 so I'm actually fine with it, but just wanted to know what to expect if I make the jump. I'm toying with another F90 and might spec CCB's just for the minimal dust aspect. I guess you can't spec those on the X5M.

I’m at 5200 miles and only now starting to hear a little brake squealing occasionally. Not a problem on my car, but the brake dust is next level bad. Looking forward to some lower dust replacement pads ASAP.

Yes. i'm at 9K miles now and they squeal pretty bad now. It goes away after a good power wash but it does not take long for it to happen again.

I'm at 13k and brakes starting to squeal pretty bad. Maybe I didn't notice it sooner since its been winter and the windows are always closed. Pretty awful now when slow driving or coming to a stop. I'm going to try a bed in procedure now that summers are back on and the weather is warming up. Might just need a good pad material transfer to the rotors after a long cold winter. Will report back once I do it.

Mine has a slight squeal that is a bit more pronounced when braking at low speeds. Nothing too bad though. It's a big car with a lot of power. Other threads seem to suggest a mod that takes care of it.

Slightly off topic, but are the brakes on the F95 better than the last generation X5M brakes. I understand they both squeal, but do the newer brakes have better bite and pedal feel?

I can’t say they feel that different compared to my F85 or even my F80 which is a good thing. Brakes needs to be in “sport” setting on the F95 though. In comfort it’s alittle too soft.
