clicking noise from front on decel (35mph>0)

just noticed this the other day.. on deceleration with brakes applied steady say from 35mph to zero i hear clicking noise from the front. (Sounds like its behind the dash).. brake pedal feels normal and when i rolled up the windows i didnt hear anything outside (only inside with windows rolled up and stereo off, AC blower off -to hear it more accurately).

It will not do this right after the car is started but rather once its warmed up (typically 10-15 min of driving). Has anyone experienced this? Im due for break in service in 500 miles so im adding this to list along with connected drive password error message on idrive despite being logged into idrive.. and last night ambient lighting was pulsating + no error messages.. so weird!!

Here is a video of what ii sounds like.. sound is coming from behind the dash and appears to be associated with braking, however ZERO vibrations.. its too tame to hear when AC is blasting or music, hence why i turned everything off. Also as mentioned previously i tried to hear if its coming from the wheel outside with my head out the window but nothing..

Has anyone encountered anything like this? Just curious what it could be.. im taking her in for break in service in 200 miles so will bring it up to dealer.

Sounds like something that is at the same speed as the wheel rotation.

the interesting part is that there is no audible noise outside with windows open..
i guess will wait for take it to service so when they get the car on the lift they can freely rotate wheels and see if they can replicate the sound..

Hey, I just came across this thread. I'm experiencing the same clicking/dull thumping sound on deceleration when braking. I have a '23 X5M comp at ~500 miles. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Me too and I also have Pirellis -- I demonstrated for the service advisor and he said brakes are still breaking in (~ 1500 miles on odometer) so don't sweat it. Sometimes louder than others.
