Help request: Painted/Color Match rear diffuser?

Hi All,

In the stages of negotiating our new baby hauler, and would love a little clarification from the pros here on BP: We went and test drove a Msport 40, and intend to buy a MWM one without the trailer hitch. There's the shadowline dark strip across the back, then the diffuser below it, between the exhaust tips. The one we drove had a matte silver diffuser, and the online build looks like it has the same...I've seen several on this site with matching white diffusers, but so far, direct messages haven't yielded much.

Would be grateful to know how this gets done -- am I missing something on order? Done locally after delivery?

TIA!

M Sport should have paint matched diffuser. X5s with silver matte diffusers are xLine. Also check the bumper design, the xLine bumper has the same rugged finish as the wheel arches. I'm not aware of any production changes to M Sport trim.

Here are photos for reference

Really, really appreciate it. Not clear what happened with what we drove, as I'm almost positive it had the matte grey, but it's better if it already comes the way I want

You can definitely tell the difference between M Sport and xLine in the front and sides.

On the side:
M Sport will have color matched wheel arches and color matched M Sport rocker panels.

In the front:
It's obvious which one is M Sport

Guess I'm just being paranoid, because the online configuration also looked a little darker on the screen. Should have just tested with a dark color

Hello guys,

Do you know the color code of the grey area - got into a small rear ending and need to fix the grey area. I circled one of the pictures that was shared earlier.

Any help will be appreciated.

I would paint that bumper black coating or the white body color instead of the silver. Would look way better in my opinion.
