Wanting aftermarket exhaust system!!

I have been looking online and calling local shops for a possible aftermarket louder better sounding exhaust for the 19 X5 50i..... Anyone have any luck yet locating one that fits or can fit with little modification?

I have the 40i but I test drove a 50i with the M performance exhaust. Does yours have that?

Yes I have the M performance exhaust, but looking for a bit more rumble from the V8 without having to take it to 4kRPM to hear it grunt. lol

Did you try and unplug the exhaust valves? I know some 40i owners did that to get more sound from their exhausts. I think a handful of 50i owners did the same but I haven't heard much about overall daily driving experience and extra sound quality. I have a 50i and have been contemplating that same "hack" bc the M exhaust sounds amazing at cold start.

Sure did already, also confirmed using a camera that plugs into the cell phone and goes down the pipe. I agree sounds good at cold start and at high RPM, I'm looking for more constant sound. I don't want to straight pipe it loud but rather well designed performance sounding.

Nice. A few questions if you dont mind:
1. How have you been liking it compared to previously? Are you getting a more throaty/louder note at low RPMs regardless of what drive mode you're in?
2. Any crackles or burps?
3. Did you disconnect it from the exhaust itself or pull the fuse from the fuse box? No CEL?

Lastly, do you recommend doing it?

Thanks

Also, I check every few weeks with the usual suspects on their websites/social media. I dont think anyone has claimed they are working on anything for the G05 yet with respects to an exhaust system. It's a shame. People are doing aero kits etc but other than the ECU/Piggyback systems, there's no performance parts that i've heard of. I hope someone else has more knowledge to share if there are things in the pipeline. I would love for a simple intake/exhaust system and call it a day. Got 2 kids so can't go wild on it.

1. Can only notice at start up.... So really I just been to lazy to reverse it bc I cannot tell any difference other than startup....

2. In Sport plus, while really getting on it say up an on ramp you can really hear the burps at shift. Now down shifting hard you can hear pops. It is not as easy to make the sounds as the wife's X3 M40i but it does the same as hers just with more RPM's and hard decel.

3. I disconnected it from the exhaust by unplugging the connection. I did so by starting it in Sport Plus on a cold start they open right up (verified by a camera down the exhaust tube). Once unplugged they stay in that position.

I have called a few places in the US that say they will have something soon. None are very open to timing or anything sadly..... Recently I have called a couple custom shops they are interested but prices are way to high for something that hasn't been proven out to me.... Intake I'm not concerned with on the 50i they seem to have plenty of flow.... Just looking for sound as of now, and maybe tune and performance later down the road. BUT then again I just got done talking to dealer about ordering a M8 Convertible COMP. I might just go that route and use the X5 as a daily still.

Got ahold of VRSF. They said the downpipes layout is different from an M550i, so they need to wait till they get a G05 in the shop to start development. They are down in Miami, FL.
Probably the same issue most other places are having.

Based on the parts catalog, it is sharing the same downpipe with G30 M550iX.
If you want to drive to LA, I can hook you up with Evolution Racewerks to do some development.

I think the hardest part for me on that will be how much time, or if I have to leave it there and fly in and out.

If you have prices in mind can you PM me for exhaust work and a racechip?

If it is indeed the same as G30 M550iX, they have it available already.
Installation wise, will take 5-6 hours.
But, if they need to make a new one, then it will take a day or two.

I'll PM you the price.

That is for xDrive40i.
They didn't list the one for V8TT.
But I've sold them to G30 M550iX already.

Hey RG Sport
That's interesting about X5 sharing same downpipe layout as M550. VRSF was saying otherwise.
Where does it say that? If so, I'd be good with buying and testing a set for the M550

So the Downpipes for the b58 M40i will fit the X5 40i? Or is it a different setup
