Dahler Exhaust Flap/Valve Control Module

Has anybody installed this on their x5 M50i?

It's a little pricey compared to pulling a fuse, but this would allow full control of the exhaust flap with the the ability to just have it operate in stock mode.

i actually used this:

https://x-ph.com/cg-precision-vsc-2-...nd-controller/

Unlike the dinan module, this doesn't need any additional power or ground. It literally plugs right into the stock harness and thats it. I was even able to take the remote and sync it to my homelink so now i just use the homelink buttons on my mirror to open and close the valves.

Cheapers, and better product imo. Make sure you get the extension harness otherwise it's two short to go from one valve to the other

few questions. These may sounds dumb.
default settings and activated settings options. Can you explain?
and wow! the extended harness is expensive.
how hard is it to connect to homeland? otherwise there is a separate controller I assume?

hey its basically whatever you want. for example i have mine set to default as the exhaust flaps are open, and activated as my exhaust flaps are oem. you also have the option to make the activate option the exahsut flaps closed.

The extended harness is expensive. Its actually one signal wire that goes frome one actuator to the other so i just cut it and added an extra 2.5ft of wire, heat shrinked, and that was it.

To connect to homelink theres no extra module. You literally just take the remote it comes with and pair it to your homelink like a garage door opener

This is a nice find so thanks for sharing toronto_M50i. I assume vehicle fitment is only for M50i, M Comp? I don’t see 40i listed as compatible.

I installed mine. Makes a little difference. I also decided to do a resonator delete. Between that and valves open I am happy.
