2021 to 2022 changes

I just noticed the headlight changes on the X5 between 2021 and 2022. The semi-angels went to just the under-eye liner. What else changed on this mini facelift?

Definitely would prefer to keep the semi-angel eyes.

The headlights were available in 2 versions from 2019 to 2023. The laser headlights have the semi angel eyes and the adaptive led headlights have the under eye, as you call it.

Depending on the country of purchase, it may be a part of a package or a standalone option.

There was no mini facelift that year. As above, you're just comparing standard LEDs with optional laser headlights. Both were available both years.

At some point, due to covid supply shortgages from that time, features started disappearing and reappearing in a haphazard manner - different cars are missing different options those years, so you just need to be vigilant and check for everything thats a 'must have' for you.

The mild hybrid was introduced some time in 2022 I think, and they stopped fitting front fogs also.

Thank you! Wasn't aware of this.
That being said... it is pretty shitty to have an iconic feature gated behind an option.

Apologies for the delay in my response!

If it makes you feel better, angel eyes are completely gone on current model years.

I know. These chevrons and other oddballs - the new M4 is ??? - are sad to see go. Now I'll never be able to unsee the fact that anyone driving an under-eyelid clearly doesn't care enough about the iconic angel eyes haha.....
