BMW 2019 G05 - What's your iDrive Version

07/2019.53 -- no software update available whenever I check

Hi, my Android car integration seems to be absent, and I am not seeing apple maps in headsup.

Did some research and the BMW website says there is no remote software update available for my VIN.

Wondering what people's idrive version is to see if I can get the dealer to upgrade it.

If you don't know you can find the remote software version in your in menu under Remote Software Upgrade.

there is an SIB for remote software upgrade. I've flagged it for my SA when I go in for my annual service next month

My MY19 has 07/2022.33. As mentioned, some vehicles aren't getting OTA's, have your dealer install the latest version and you should be fine.

Edit: Here is the SIB you can reference. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...04533-9999.pdf

Trying doing the same. They refuse to manually update if you are already on 07/2021. Apparently Service bulletin is only for versions older than that

Yea same. My dealer didn't really want to do it. But when I asked I did not know about SIB. Gonna try next time.
But clearly it's a wide spread problem and I don't understand why BMW doesn't deal with it.

you'll have better luck if having a service-related issue. I have two:
1) random startups in the incorrect drive mode
2) the vehicle ping pongs within the lane when lane keeping is enabled

I'm just hoping they release 2022/07 OTA sooner than later.

BMW said it would be shortly after the iD8's OTA are complete. Those started last month so hopefully soon.

I actually have issue Number 2. I've just gotten used to it.

Apparently later software version addresses this issue
