2019 BMW X5 xDrive40i

Hi,

I am looking at a 2019 BMW X5 xDrive40i with M package and 25K miles on it to buy. I wanted to see if there is general advise on what to look for when buying the car used?

Also, the car comes with the 22 inch Y wheels. I wanted to see what is the smallest wheel size I can fit on the car. Ideally I want to put 20'' with winter tires on them. Is this possible?

Yes, 20’s will fit fine on the x5

If the 40i you’re looking at is not equipped with the optional m-sport brakes (separate from the m sport package you mention) then you can go ask the way down to 19” though I think many here go with a 20” square setup for winter

I don’t have any advice on used buying as I got mine new…however as I already have 32k miles on my car…unless your car was utterly abused…you should have little to worry about

I bought my 2019 X5 40i with m-sport package new. It's got 39k miles on it and its be very reliable. Just a tire pressure monitor sensor replacement. That's it.

Mine has 20" wheels (square setup) and All Season tires. Great combination for me.

Get it checked out by an independent mechanic and check the car's history/maintenance record. If okay, I'd go for it.

Good luck!

Here's a pic of my 2019 with 20s.

Reliable with a strong engine. Probably the fastest “base” suv out there. Nice car all around.
