And I feel dealer should be able to give more since those costco dealers pay a monthly fee to envolve in the program. Any one get better offer on the east side? How much do you think should be the target discount?
What dealer did you use? I haven't found one that still participates in Costco Auto. I think most don't have a need currently. They have enough demand without.

Were the military rebates just updated? I thought they were listed as $500 last week, and I'm seeing $2k now?

No, they are the same as they have been since the beginning of January. The incentive varies depending upon what region you are in and whether you finance/lease with BMWFS. In the Western region it is $1,500 and the rest of the country is $2,000. What also changed was the amount when you lease or finance with BMWFS. In the Western region you can now get $1,500 when you finance and $250 when you lease. In the rest it is $500 when financing or leasing.

$2000 if you pay cash, $500 finance or lease.

Is the $1500 finance credit available to anyone or just to military? I don’t see it listed on the bmwusa website.

Great info on this thread.
My X5e just arrived today and I meet up Sat for delivery. The thing is, this dealer now has added "items" and claims these were implemented in Feb by their parent company. I guess times are tough for salesman and they need some high margin stuff to add, but dang. We're paying full MSRP, but hoping to get $2K as my FIL is retired military.

Door edge guards - $299
Nitrogen - $199
2 front windows tinted - $499
So a surprise $1k for a bunch of nothing - nitrogen?

Then there's a deal admin fee of $150

Basically I want to know if I say I'm not paying for any of the $1K stuff, will they simply put it on their lot and sell it this weekend? I don't see any PHEVs for sale anywhere - I suspect where I am (austin) there are others in line they would call (however, ours is highly optioned, $80K)

They haven't started any of the "extras" to my knowledge so I could call him now and tell him to save his labor/parts and I'll take it as is.
Thanks!

I would tell them too bad, you didn't agree to those when you ordered and you aren't taking them now. As far as nitrogen goes, I use 78% in my tires and am very happy with it.

As far as the military incentive goes, did you apply for and get the certificate or did you fill out the information directory on BMWUSA's site? You will need to be able to present that at closing.

Take it as is and tell them you don't want that stuff. You are right, they will be able to sell it quickly.

Dealers are doing all kinds of crappy stuff now because they can.

We got $1500 and financed. It's region based (We were West Region since the Dealership was based in California). This is what my CA sent me.

Seems to be standard. It's on my build. Tint is for front two windows. At least it's ceramic tint. It's way over priced. I can get the windshield and two fronts done for less than that at my ppf place. 200 for nitrogen. Laughable, but in this environment I said whatever. Where do I sign

This is the typical money grab items that deals use to pad their margins. At least you're not doing the ultimate ankle grab by paying a "market adjustment" as I've been given by many a dealer around here.

So if I understand the military incentive correctly, financing a vehicle in Oklahoma would be a $500 incentive?

That is correct, that incentive didn't change this year.

So took delivery yesterday - pretty happy all around.
Military discount - they tried to put $1500 and I said it was $2K and they just changed it...ok?
I pushed back on the 1K in stuff they added and settled on $500 for tint and nitrogen.
Sounds like in TX you can get $2500 MIR - so on top of $7500 fed, $2K military, I can't complain too much. Been all-electric so far and dang, it's so much nicer than my old tesla.

Suck the charing rate is soooo bad, but whatever. I do feel like they really cheaped out there - I can't imagine the 7kw charger is any more expensive of a part, but whatever.

To get the military rebate did you have to pay cash, or is outside financing the same to them. I would think it's the same, but want to make sure.

You can get the military rebate whether you finance/lease with BMWFS or provide outside financing/cash. The amount can differ though depending on what region of the country you are in. In the Western region the incentive is $1,500 whether you finance with BMWFS or not. If you lease with BMWFS the incentive is $250. For the rest of the country the incentive is $2,000 if you pay cash/outside financing and $500 if you finance/lease with BMWFS.
