What are you looking for in the car? Is this your only car or your only performance car?
If you need 4 doors well there’s your answer. For fun, it’s all about lower weight and center of gravity. I drove the m5 and the m3 back to back on track, the m3 was so much more fun and engaging. I have the M5 now and sometimes I miss that eagerness of the smaller M. I have a buddy who has a current gen X5M, and the ride quality is appalling just to handle well “for an SUV”. I don’t consider it a jack of all trades. If you do not need an SUV do not buy an SUV. Physics are physics. |

If you need to ask, you will never understand even if I try to explain. I will always buy manual sedan and coupe, even up to 5 series size if available. Sure auto for suv and minivan, not like I have a choice.

I'm turning 50 this year, and the x6 is my first autotragic. I would have bought another manual this year, but stuff happened.

As far as the AT, BMW programs it well, so it's not annoying. It's on point. |
