What are you looking for in the car? Is this your only car or your only performance car?

If you need 4 doors well there’s your answer.

For fun, it’s all about lower weight and center of gravity.

I drove the m5 and the m3 back to back on track, the m3 was so much more fun and engaging.

I have the M5 now and sometimes I miss that eagerness of the smaller M.

I have a buddy who has a current gen X5M, and the ride quality is appalling just to handle well “for an SUV”. I don’t consider it a jack of all trades.

If you do not need an SUV do not buy an SUV. Physics are physics.

Until you spend time in a Urus, and you realize physics dont apply in Sant'Agata Bolognese. You can have it all, it'll just cost you.

I just don't understand why anyone in this day and age would want to purchase any vehicle with a manual transmission. To me that would get pretty old pretty fast.

If you need to ask, you will never understand even if I try to explain. I will always buy manual sedan and coupe, even up to 5 series size if available. Sure auto for suv and minivan, not like I have a choice.

I'm turning 50 this year, and the x6 is my first autotragic. I would have bought another manual this year, but stuff happened.

I ain't mad, for sure. It's a stunning car, and I was getting tired of the harsh ride and road noise of my old car. The reality is, as much as I love sporty cars and value driver involvement and handling, I nearly exclusively drive freeway miles now, and in LA there's lots of traffic, so driving a harsh sporty car in a straight line in traffic is kind of dumb. The X6 is comfortable, quiet...put on some tunes and enjoy the lumbar support, lol.

As far as the AT, BMW programs it well, so it's not annoying. It's on point.
