Is this a good deal for a 2022 X5 with 25K Miles?

I like the M package, interior, and options, but feel like it's a little high with 25000 miles. I haven't bought a BMW in 10 years so maybe I'm off. They want $4200 for Taxes and $2700 estimated fees. So they want about $55.2K or $60,937 or $61K total with taxes out the door. Does this look about right? Any opinions appreciated.

It's a little high. I'd say closer to $52k would be about right.

I feel like the miles are high. I get the taxes, but are the fees of $2700 expected too? I haven't bought a car in a while.

Just say no to the extra fees. Doc fees shouldn’t be more than $300

Pretty lightly optioned car…

No DAP, no exec package, no updated seats. I’m not sure if it even has HK stereo?

Options trade at a significant haircut to their retail value in the secondary market, I.e I used fully loaded car will be about the same price as a used lightly optioned car.

Unless you need a car now, I’d wait for a more well optioned car.

Looks a bit light on the must have options (DAP) and a bit high priced.

I disagree some. Some options trade pretty close to or over their initial cost. DAP for instance, M sport seems to as well.

That said, this is a base car priced like it was highly optioned. I think it's way overpriced, and frankly, I think a very undesirable car. I would pass and.find one that's equipped better than a rental.spec Kia.

There are very few that hold their value. M sport and DAP are definitely 2 and might be the only 2 . Generally speaking tho - if you add in all the other stuff - multi contour , upgraded leather, executive package, massage seats etc —- the discount you’d get on all these options should collapse the original msrp delta between loaded and barely optioned but quite a large amount

This is verified when you got to a site like kbb to value a used car. They will only ask if you have 2-3 main options that have held their value. That’s it.

My preference to buy a used CPO X5 40i was following:
1) max options
2) max warranty duration

I was able to get 21’ with M-sport, Exec pkg, DAP, parkin asst pkg, luxury seating and HK sound system at 53K (38k miles).

Mileage was a little high but I wasn’t able to find a low mileage fully loaded around 50k.

I don't disagree, you're not gonna get the full purchase price of most options back. But a desirable car full of options will trade for a big delta to a poorly equipped one.

KBB isn't gospel, it's intended to be a general guide (and really is a tool to tell you that your car isn't worth as much, and the dealers car is worth so much more).

Either way, this one is priced too high, and a well equipped car shouldnt be much more, if any.

I think I am going to get this one. I got him to knock off $2K. All the used X5s here have light wood trim and the brown interior. I am not a fan of the brown leather inside. I like the M look. White and black X5. Most of the SUVs had many features I didn't need like massaging chairs. Maybe brown interior is the new style. It's strange how so many have it. Thanks everyone!

I am just saying the look I am going for is black and white. It seems many of these used X5s have the brown interior or the wrong trim I am looking for. Maybe brown is the new style. I don't care for it. There are so many used X5s but it's hard to find the perfect one. Maybe I am being to picky for a slightly used X5. I would wait until the perfect one.

You can't be too picky when you're spending $50k plus. That's a lot of money. Get the car you want.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If you are spending that amount, get the perfect X5.
