It looks like some dealers (ex: Schomp in Colorado) are already starting to advertise discounts on the G05 on their online inventory - starting around 4% off but that may at least be a helpful floor to negotiate up from.

The profit margin on the G05 is 6.5% with a $1500 hold back from the manufacturer. Then you have the owner loyalty credit which is usually around $1k and the BMW CCA membership gets you $1K off. The 3 year membership for BMW CCA costs $134. So off of a say $80K G05 you can knock off as much as $8700 off the purchase with negotiations and credits.

Holdback is not a fixed dollar amount. It's ~4% of MSRP. Ask your CA to show you the pricing guide with the invoice amounts on it if you want to know what it is. ~8% is the markup. Dealerships say 6.5% is all they have (out of 8%) accounting for inflated pack, detail, blah blah.

If you want to see an example of 8% discounts, just look at Atlanta BMW's website. They are a SONIC Auto dealership and already have half a dozen advertised with 6-9% discounts.

This may or may not include the leather credit.

You're saying you can get 10.8% off ($8700 on $80k), not sure how you get there. The $2000 for the CCA membership and loyalty credit is 2.5% on $80K so the dealer would need to give you another 8.4% off to get to your $8700 number.
I don't see that happening or am I missing something.

$5140 off MSRP - that includes a $1K incentive from BMW finance.

Also - the amount off MSRP should consider what you get for trade. Where you could get stung in exchange for a more “favorable” price on the new vehicle.

You get $1000 from BMWFS if you finance your car through them. They may require that you be a current or former owner of BMW, though since it's a "Loyalty Incentive."

Yep
I'm not an existing BMW owner and I was offered this for financing with BMWFS. I think it's something available to anyone using BMWFS at the dealers discretion.

Yea, YMMV. I think it's all marketing anyway and they'll give it to whomever finances the car with BMWFS.

You get the thousand off upfront, and after you make four payments, you can pay it off or switch to someone else...

That I'm not sure about but I have a week 45 build do I'll ask that question when the time comes. Unless someone asks their CA that question first. I'll keep you posted.

I’d go ahead and ask now, if I were you because I’m not positive there isn’t an expiration date on it. I know when I was placing my order my CA sorta talked me into applying and getting the financial approval, etc. as if there might have been some time is of the essence involved.

My CA told me to apply in December, since mine's a 12/18 build that's now likely to be delayed until 2/19, and he said the financing rate is good for 90 days. Some on here has said it's only good for 60 days. So, again, YMMV. I'd just check with your CA.

Also, does anyone know what's the MINIMUM $$$ you can finance with BMWFS? I was gonna pay cash myself but my CA said I'd get $1k off if I finance it. He told me I'd have to give at least $20k.... Um, I highly doubt that.

Avenger, I can’t answer your question as to minimum. I’m putting down half because I’ll be paying a higher interest rate to BMW than I’ll be earning on the money market funds that would have been my source for paying cash. I think it will be about three and a quarter to BMW... unless your source of funds is earning higher than that, wouldn’t you want to put down the most they would allow? I didn’t actually find out the max like I should have to be honest, I just asked if half would be ok. I should find that out myself.
