Is this a good deal for a 2020 BMW X5?

My build:

https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...4glprn/summary

MSRP: $75,170

Dealer discount: $6,000
Rebate: $4,250

So total discount of $10,250

Which brings down price to $64,920 + tax/license fees.

Thanks!

That is about 8% off before incentives. Discounts vary by region but it seems like a good discount overall.

That's not a bad deal. How are you getting $4,250 in rebates?

Thanks, I am also not sure. My dealer is able to pull it off for me somehow. I'm going to meet my sales manager next week to get everything in writing. He also said that I don't need to deposit anything to do a custom order.

Yeah, overall it is almost 14% off MSRP, which looks like a good deal to me but not sure if I can or should try more.

Perhaps you did a test drive event? I recently did one and also qualified for $4250 incentives...

Hi karateboi87, what type of drive event would give out a $4250 inventive? Is it one event or a few combined? Nevertheless, that amount sounds amazing!

perhaps financing, loyalty, and a test drive credit (usually $1k)?

Great build btw. Have a very similar one on the way in Carbon Black. Paid roughly the same price as you.

They had a "drive to end hunger" which was like a charitable event for BMW. It was literally on BMWUSA's website for a while. It was only valid between Nov 12-16th. I did it but the dealership doesn't want to send me a code and keeps saying it's only valid for IN STOCK vehicle at THEIR dealership, which I think is true. From what I've learned from others, these test drive coupons actually do come out of the dealer's pocket (at least 50%). In other words, if your dealer is willing to discount 9.5% before incentives, they might only discount 8% plus that $1000 now.

Your discount $ is exactly what I got on a $68K build, and it comes out to 10.23% for me. I'm still going to shop around before signing the deal in hope of getting slightly more.

Thanks for the reply. I knew about $1000 drive event incentive. You said you did a drive event recently and qualified for $4250 incentives, what's the $3250 incentive?

It could be $1,250 for loyalty and $2,000 APR credit.

Ah, that makes sense! The way karateboi87 worded, I thought the total of $4250 was from Drive Events. Thanks!

It looks ok, I think you can get a little better. Walk away at least once, especially if there are multiple dealers in your area.

If the dealership is ahead of pace for their volume rebates, they can make much stronger deals at year end, but you have to take delivery before incentives end. I would ask for an interest credit if your finance rate is over what Audi and Mercedes are financing right now.
