Got an E30 - should I clean the solenoids?

I have recently acquired a 1990 E30 316i Automatic with only 45000km on the clock. It is in mint condition and even includes all the tool bag, original owners handbook etc. however, after getting the car I took it to a BMW service that I’m friends with to do a inspection. There are small items that need changing due to cars age mainly rubber or plastic parts, fluids, brakes and such.

I do have one question that I’d like to ask. During the tranny oil change should I drop down the valve body to clean the solenoids and the pins? After a test drive the shifts are according to the head mechanic whom worked on BMW’s for more than 30 years are normal and it would be a waste of time that will not fix anything as it is not broken or operating irregularly. It pushes you forward when shifting from 1-2.

Also, if you guys have any more suggestion they are more then welcomed. I don’t have any pics yet as my mother still doesn’t know about the car and she would kill my father if she knew
