power boost after creating driver profile
I didn't create a driver profile for over 17k miles on my 2019 x5 40i. The power in comfort mode felt great and I could feel the added power when I activated sport mode.
Then I finally decided to create my driver profile on my vehicle and immediately after doing this, the power in comfort mode felt like sport mode. I then activated sport mode and believe it or not, it felt more powerful than before. I thought it was me but I let my brother drive it and he said the same thing. Is it possible that bmw did this and didn't tell anyone? |

no, there's 0 difference with or without a profile in mine. The only way to be 100% sure is to remove the profile dyno it, add the profile and dyno back to back so there's no gap. Obviously there won't be a difference but you'd need some controls in place if you want to even loosely draw some sort of conclusion.

Adding your profile may have changed your individual settings for Comfort and Sport modes. Check it under Car->Driving modes.

My turn at a guess: any chance you've moved the gear selector left and discovered Sport shift? :-)
