Because once you lift it up, they must've falls off and clears the noise.

I would find a different shop. 7 hours is way too long. The fronts should take about 45 mins to an hour per side and the rears can be done in about 30-45 mins for both sides.

My car was done in about 5 hours and that included alignment also. I was charged $600.

MSS Springs installed on 2019 X5 Xdrive 4.0I

I had my MSS Springs installed that I bought from RG Sport. The shop said they are zeroed out front and rear, I still have 4 fingers between Tire and Finder. I'm at a loss as to why it did not lower my X5 like my friend's X5M. Has anyone else experienced this? I looked at the setup and it appears they have installed it correctly. That said something is not right. I have a none m car. Has anyone else experienced this?

BMW ISTA torque spec for M10 bolt that is holding the sway bar link to the lower arm (circled in red), is 56Nm / 41ft-lb.
With this spec, it made noise.

MSS UK recommended to torque it at 100Nm or 73.76ft-lb.

Noise is gone now.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to Ben, got around to installing the MSS springs and 15/20mm spacers. I am truly amazed how much better this truck rides after the springs oh and looks 100% better!

Am I correct in thinking that at this point, the only way to maintain factory alignment specs up front would be to maintain factory ride height?

... and the MSS Spring kit does not allow one to maintain factory ride height in order to prevent an increase in negative camber?

At that point, it is kind of pointless to change the spring IMO.

You can change the upper A Arm to G05 and it will fix most of the negative camber.

The primary intent would be to address the harsh ride that exists with the factory setup that so many complain about.

Hmm, I believe you are the first to think that stock ride is harsh.

You can try play with tire pressure and check whether the shipping block still there.

Definitely not; many of us have complained about the factory suspension along with several professional automotive reviews. The harsh ride would not be as bad if you didn't have the ridiculous fender gaps, this is the first vehicle I have ever owned that is so damn tall but rides like it is slammed on track coil overs.

Really?
I’ve driven my test car stock for couple days prior to replacing the spring, and it was perfectly normal for an M car setup.
But, I guess each has different tolerance on suspension stiffness.
BMW M SUV are IMO the perfect ride quality for an M. Unlike the AMG and Porsche, (especially AMG), they are just slapping the badge but still ride like a boat.
I guess, BMW still have the will to make a real M car.

MSS wise, based on testing, it doesn’t make it softer. Just no bounce on the rear where stock suspension is.
I would put it as a firm ride.

Everyone does have different levels of tolerance but I am basing my opinion and comments solely on previous X5M and comparable SUV I have owned and driven. Also the difference is the area you are in where the roads vary greatly from places like SoCal and Florida.

Of course.
I had drove F85. I hated it. Too floaty.
IMO, doesn’t worth the M badge.
Even that, some still stay it is harsh.

As simple as mine and your opinion, there is already 2 different sides.

Have you changed yours to MSS? Or you are doing KW?

What are recommended wheel spacers, Ive seen different sizes used between different users. Im looking for the most flush/aggressive look. Any assistance will be appreciated!

Lowered? Stock Height?
Which wheel setup and tire sizes?

So far none that I've known or heard from.
Where did you get yours installed at?

Thanks for the response, I got it installed locally. I’ve had over 15,000 miles on the springs, but only recently started hearing a little squeaking.
