Sounds like BMW of Sarasota in Florida. They sell you the car and once you take delivery that is the end of the relationship. I reported a problem with water spotting and etching on my paint. Emailed the GM 4 times and finally got a response. Bottom line is they won't take care of the problem. Now I am contacting my credit card company and disputing part of my down payment, the cost to have the paint corrected by a detailer. Not only that the survey that I submit will be negative. Doesn't seem that they care about surveys or the client after delivery.

In my experience, these dealers in large cities generally don’t care simply because they know they will always have enough customers just because of the demographics. The larger the city, the less important you become as a consumer.

Go to google, open the page of this dealer and give it 1 star and report this issue. Usually helps a little here in Europe. If all costumers do that then this could help others to avoid this shit dealers.

Hopefully your post will help someone who may want to purchase from them to think twice. I cannot stand shady dealers

It's also important to scrutinize the car before take delivery. I was focused on test drive, just walk around the car, didn't step down to see all the details....

When the tech inspected the car, they noticed the right front corner painted and clear is cracking. Please see the pictures. The cracking is not easy to notice unless you take a close look. That's likely the reason I didn't find it out when delivery. And the delivery was in late afternoon when there is no sun light...

Since I purchased the car I have never had any damages or have the car painted. So it must be from the dealer I purchased the car at, BMW of Brooklyn. Then I contacted my SA, and he denies it was there. I searched the forum, it seems BMW of Brooklyn has a history of doing that...

What should I do now? Any suggestions? Many thanks
Avoid the back and forth arguments that only lead to further frustration. Its a brand new car and you have a warranty that any BMW dealer will honor. For all you know, it could be a factory paint defect, doesn't matter, get your favorite dealer to fix it. I can easily see it in your pix, looks awful. Nice clear pix by the way :-)
I agree with this comment. Take it straight back. Its actually very common as dealers often have small incident moving around the shear volume of cars. But this is not acceptable just take it back mate.

What am I missing here? Isn't paint warrantied for several years regardless?

I've never heard of a paint issue on a new car....or at least not in my 22 years of driving.

It's poor repainted work done by the dealer, so it's not under warranty... my local dealer told me I have to bring the car back to the dealer I purchased the car at...
