Exclamation Hi all - looking to buy my first x5M Comp

Hi!

Coming from the E92 forum ('13 MW ZCP DCT)

I am looking at a f95 2020 x5m comp.

Are there any differences between the 2020 throughout the cycle of this model up to 2023? should i aim for a newer car?

im looking at this particular one - any thoughts?

The only difference between 2020-2023 that i could remember is that some came with the slightly tinted headlights which is a pro/con depending on the exterior color imo.

Also 2020's didn't have any features removed due to supply chain issues like the later models had.

I think they’re largely all the same. Maybe there’s some different paint and caliper colors?

But yeah, that looks like a nice car. Cool spec’d interior too. And it had the B&W? That’s an cool option. Hopefully it has the spare tire and not the inflator thing.

Oh, good point, I think shadowline headlights are a thing on 2023s.

And I forgot about touch screens not being usable and some other options not being available.

IT does have the spare tire. My only concern is the oddly low miles and "corporate fleet" on the carfax. i saw some videos and the car looks fine and it has the good options (exec, assist and the sound)

what do you guys think a fair price would be for it?

Can’t answer about price. Or what that corporate fleet thing means. Maybe that’s cool and I’m curious about that now. Haha. It def has low miles

i guess these are "executive demo" cars meaning they were used for test drives. meaning they were probably beat to crap lol. i just realized thats what that means.

Is it me or this X5MC had its tires replaced 12 times, based on the Carfax. With Front rotors and pad replaced at 4,641 miles and again at 4,734 miles...this is a FL vehicle...lots of road debris and heavy stop/go out there? Not sure what all that means....just pointing it out.

Another meaning of executive demo is UDE cars.
I know some of us who attend UDE knows how it was treated.

Stay clear of this car as a red flag is all of the tire changes including the brake pads/rotors at less than 6,000 miles. A UDE vehicle wouldn’t be serviced at Braman BMW Jupiter, as that is an excessive amount of service. Then from 09/09/2021 at 5,679 miles the car goes over 2 years as driven 1,000 miles and is serviced on 11/29/2023 at 6,773 miles at a indy shop.

Corporate fleet can also be a press car or executive car. There was F90/F92 (prior generation M3/M4’s) that were used from the Performance Center with low millegae years ago that was giving customers problems. Buyer beware.

That thing must have been thrashed to blow through brakes at 6K miles. Not to mention all those tires.

Right?! Now that’s a bench mark I want to surpass. Hahaha.

Unknown if or how well it’ll hold up. Although, I think beating on cars and motorcycles shouldn’t be looked at too unfavorably all the time. They are meant for it. Haha. But knowing the engine, trans, brakes and suspension are warmed up and stuff compared to just jumping in a rental and blasting off redline right after firing up the engine is a real thing. Oh yeah, that reminds me, prob better not buy a leased car after me either😂😅🤣.

2020 with 6K miles is incredible. If you can get it for 75K its a no brainer!
