Just got it tonight. I will let you know if I have any issues but last time was a smooth installation.

BimmerCode auto start/stop
I also emailed BimmerCode before I saw this thread the auto start stop coding not working on my G07 with 3/2023.45. Sounds like they are trying to come up with something, so hopefully we eventually regain the ability to disable it. Here's the email I received last night:
"coding this option does not have any effect on the latest BMW software due to changes made by BMW. We are working on a solution, but unfortunately there is no quickfix available for this issue. A workaround might be setting Sport Individual as your default driving mode and configuring it like Comfort mode or to your liking." |

I just applied the upgrade. It seems to be 100% done and said complete. It went smoothly AND this time it didn't wipe out my Bimmercode changes. Very surprised..
Update: Talked to soon I think it reset. The messages came back but the selected cluster display stayed. 5 blinker blink setting stayed too. Just seat belt and messages will need to be reset Last edited by 1Mors; 06-09-2023 at 09:03 PM.. |

I have the same issue with my X5. The download was relatively quick, but now it's stuck to install 11/2022.60. This has been the second attempt. Have you had your issue resolved eventfully? Wonder if I have to get this done through BMW service.

All of that being said, there is a recall from BMW that this update is supposed to fix. The recall is for the automatic transmission/EGS software for certain model year vehicles. I checked and my vehicle isn't one of them so there is no reason for me to perform this upgrade. You can go to the following link to check to see if your vehicle has any open/unrepaired recalls. https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2020/B...Communications There is also a BMW SIB regarding this issue as well. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...35191-9999.pdf Last edited by mitch57; 06-14-2023 at 01:55 PM.. |

Yea what’s going on with that? I just updated to 03/2023.50 today and noticed the instrument cluster lighting is so dim. And the dial to adjust the brightness on the left side doesn’t do anything.

You will probably need to recode it. However, this might be one of the ECUs that BMW has disabled so you can't recode it. Good Luck. This is just one of the reasons I am not updating my vehicle to the 03/2023.xx even though it's been nagging me to do so for a week now.

The latest .65 release that just got delivered to dealers has updates for MGU (Infotainment) and KOMBI (Instrument Cluster) on iDrive 7 cars. Wondering of those are fixes for your issues. You may want to make a trip to the dealer if you're having those issues. I don't have access to any service bulletins to be able to say for sure.

I received notification on the MyBMW app for OTA update 03/2023.50 earlier this evening.
NOTE: i just came back yesterday from vacation; for 8 days, my vehicle sat in the airport garage with 14% HV battery capacity and was unplugged, but i did plug in and charge overnight. since i connect my iPhone via CarPlay, fulfilling those 3 connection requirements were pretty much instantaneous as soon as i settled in my seat. it took 13m to transfer the update data from my iPhone to the vehicle while sitting in my garage in the drive-ready state (U.S. MY21 45e). I didn’t have to drive around it took 15m to complete the install most of my BimmerCodes reset as expected, but I can’t speak to ASS or dimming instrument cluster codes for I never had issues with these in the first place (thus nothing to re-code). I didn’t lose presets or any apps either. this is my fourth OTA i-Level update since ownership, and all have gone as smoothly as described above |

If you have an iPhone, go into settings on the phone, then the My BMW app, and turn on local networks. It won't pass the data unless this is on but will show a link for other things (like contacts, etc.).

I was able to code everything back after updating to 03/2023 on my MY21 45e. I never coded anti-dazzle or ASS, though
