Need some suggestion on ConnectedDrive renewal for 150$ (1 Year)

Is it worth having this ? Any promotions or discounts to sign up for another 2/3/4 years ?

I actually really like it. I like the weather and traffic dynamic rerouting, being able to send directions to my car from my phone, as well as pre conditioning it. So when my free trial runs out i'll be subscribing for sure. But if there's a discount to be had, I'd love to get one too!

Just renew, no need to go without the Apps, traffic, etc. There are no discounts available as far as I know.

No, that may be covered under BMW Assist Call since that has the GPS tracking.

The only function I would use is remote start, and check status (making sure the doors are locked).
Is OTA software update also dependent on the subscription?
I have heard that they would stop updating the car after a number of years anyways, so the subscription may not help.

No, remote updates are not part of it. They are "as long as technically possible".
