He went shopping this weekend and they were giving him close to $2500.00 off a new one but not 1 dollar more.

Can't be hard to figure out which dealers these are with a little research. Brokers are unnecessary middle men, particularly in the current market. You'll likely get better service and responses from dealing directly with the dealer as well. Some brokers don't like to return calls or emails when they feel it's not worth their time.

I had a broker ghost me when I called to place an order. I spoke to him once where he gave me all the info he needed and when I called back a week later he didn't pick up. Left several voicemails, texted him, emailed him and not a single reply. I don't know why since It's free money basically at that point. I called a few dealers and within 15 min found the dealer who gave me the same deal and had an allocation. Saved the broker fee.

People should be able to get 6% on their own. I posted on another thread here that I negotiated 9% on my own and was just told by another dealer that they could offer the same discount without a problem. Didn’t try to get them up because I’m trying to get a different trim.
