Looks like it's time to start a thread for 11/2019.40 aka S18A-19-11-540. Just had this updated in Canada. Took ISTA 4.21.xx just released a day ago in Canada to update my April 2019 build MY2019 G05 X5 x40i M Sport.

- don't see any of my bugs fixed (mostly camera view selection issues)
- R/D camera view switching that got more broken in 7/2019.xx is still broken (doesn't switch camera to forward view after shifting from R to D)
- new option to enable rear DRLs (see pics: top is rear DRL disabled, bottom is rear DRL enabled)

Can now code ADV :-). ALPINA dash now has correctly calibrated speedometer.

I'm taking my 30d in tomorrow for my cars 1st vehicle check, hopefully I'll get a version of the November'19 release - 11/2019.xx.

Have you had a chance to see if 11/2019.40 opens up any more coding options?

Took my 50i M Sport to BMW Minnetonka in Minnesota last week and they said no updates available. I'm assuming that dealership hasn't rolled out 11.2019 to anyone yet.

Sure, attached. But now that I've re-coded some stuff, it is not exactly stock:

- the 5 blink turn signal is coded
- the on/off front DRL is coded
- the on/off rear DRL is stock and new
- also keep in mind that this is a Canada configured car; Canada requires front DRL always on in all cars since before turn of the century

I think it's going to take more time to find if there is anything new in 11/2019.xx vs 7/2019.xx, but new to me is ADV and a working Alpina dash — I went directly to 11/2019.xx from 3/2019.xx and ADV was introduced in 7/2019.xx and my Alpina dash was defective in 3/2019.xx

I found very little new in 11/2019

Maybe some improvements with urban cruise and traffic light recognition, but not had chance to fully test.

Alpina dash is not new, but it has bugs in 3/2019.45 that seemed to be fixed in 7/2019.xx and later. To get it, you do have to code the car, but Bimmercode recently added that.

I just got my car back after its first service, landed with 11/2019.34 - seems to the latest version here in Australia.

Had to re-code pretty much everything, ASS memory, ADV, Warnings at Startup off..etc..etc. However 5-flash indicators is now a stock/standard option - didn't have to code that.

Interestingly there's no DRL Rear off/on, all I've got is DRL off/on which controls both back and front.

Too soon to assess stability, give me until the end of the week and I'll report back.

Weird... could it be different options? I was at Minnetonka last week and now my brakes are clicking (supposedly they found a TSB, it's not a rock) and it's at motorwerks now. They confirmed no update available.

After reading many posts on here I have wondered what, if anything, the options of the vehicle may have on software updates. Was -17F when I drove in this morning and was -1 to +1 on the way back, no wind and the trip back the fuel economy dropped by 4 mpg. Who knows.

11/2019.40

After a couple days driving with 11/2019.40, found a few more changes (at least relative to 3/2019.45). In addition to above:

- turns out anti-dazzle didn't get decoded with update, but the auto-lights high-beam/anti-dazzle functions now seem to be more conservative and hence seemed to me to not work initially; but it does work; I still feel I get enough light in all conditions so far, but the system doesn't come on as often and in the areas along my route it used to; didn't think there was any need for changes, but let's call this a draw in the pro/con category for now

- the camera view bug that turned off backup camera when BT-connected phone interrupted with sound (such as a call or Waze directions) seems to have been fixed; that is, backup camera remains on while you're in reverse even if phone interrupts; I am definitely calling that a pro, this was impacting 70% of my drives

- many have reported that ACC with lane tracking is better, less wobble, etc. I haven't found that so far; on my standard commute route, it's confused and wobbly where it always has also been in the past and generally fine elsewhere; a draw

I haven't turned that back on yet, wanted to baseline myself to the updated tracking if any. Will try shortly, haven't forgotten :-).

Do you have a pretty loaded model? Also is yours 19 or 20? I have a 2019 fully loaded and it was the later prod where it does have the full hands off assisted driving plus. Just got mine back from Motorwerks and they confirmed 11.2019 is not showing available for my VIN. YEAH

It is a 2019 with August 8, 2019 production, only option I don’t have is night vision and full air suspension.

Agreed on the anti-dazzle still works but definitely more conservative.

Other issue I was having was little to no steering tension when the vehicle was very cold from sitting in below zero weather, not sure if the software will resolve this or not. Will also try out the lane change once the lanes reappear, too much ice and snow right now.

Basically exactly the same here except April 2019 production. They said no updates. Weird.

Your dealers need ISTA 4.21.12 (or later for when this thread is older). My dealer had this problem, figured it out, updated, got it done. Some offence intended as we're all high paying customers, but that's what competent service departments do.
