MY SA couldn't even pick laser lights as an option for a new build and had to grab one of the allocations he had.
Didn't leave a deposit as well, I've leased 6 cars from him before.

Interesting, maybe that means that it was a short lived shortage of lights..... or not.

as far as we know the cut off time is either 4/20/19 or 4/22/19 for the laser light and the dealer should've inform you too that there will be a delay on the light. It is strange that the dealership didnt ask you for deposit (at least mine did). I guess they know there are delay on the laser light maybe ?!

I talked with my SA and he said that I am scheduled for a week 21 build and he has not heard anything about there being a delay, especially for Laser Light. Expecting to be here by month end, fingers crossed.

Hi SK and sf2360, may I ask you some questions? Since I never customize any BMW order before. I want to know when do you guys negotiate price with SA? When the car arrives or when build it?

Is it more difficult to negotiate price with a customized order than cars in stock?

Another interesting thing is, if incentives or financial credit ends this month, and your car arrives later than that, will those still apply?

I know i ask a lot since I am new in this area. Thanks you guys, thanks to anybody who can answer me.

You will negotiate when you order the car with current months incentive. Now, if the car arrive the following month, and the incentives is better you can use the new incentive. If worse, keep your existing incentive.
Regarding negotiation, it really doesn't matter unless the dealer has something in the lot for several months. When you order a vehicle, dealer doesn't have the cost of keeping the car on the lot. If the dealer tells you otherwise then pick another dealer.

Last 6 bmw's I leased, have all been custom ordered and been able to negotiate 9 to 10% discount. I'm sure if the car is on the lot for several months they might be a bit more aggressive.

This is my first BMW as well (coming from Audi) but I did thru my friend (3 parties dealer) who has partnership with the bmw dealer. I get less incentive when I custom build my car vs. the stock like maybe $1000 or $1500 difference.

Correct me if i am wrong. it also has something to do with "priority 1" and "priority 2" when you placed the order right ? I was reading from other post, certain people said if you are priority 2 then you are locked down to the month where you placed the order and can't be switching around for the upcoming month.

You should call the 1-800-831-1117 and ask to speak with a representative. They will give you the most recent update. The site still states it's awaiting carrier assignment for my order. The rep I spoke to says it assigned to Virginia Transport and will be delivered to dealer May 11.
