This is it:

Easiest way to code is to buy these two items:

BimmerCode for iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bimm...130787459?mt=8

Veepeak OBD2 BLE Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073XKQQQW?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

The setting to change in BimmerCode is under the "BDC_01" category.

Otherwise, you can pay someone for remote coding or do it yourself with a Laptop, ENET Cable, E-Sys, Launcher etc... (Search the forums).

Did the US configurator change today? Tried configuring a 40i X Line, Premium. Alpine White is not available now, the only wheels are 20's, multiple options are must have and can't be deleted.
Seems odd it would be so limited now, maybe a glitch, hopefully.

Something seems to be happening. Not sure this is a "deliberate change". Seems more like a glitch.

Looks like I cant configure the M Sport. When you select it - it defaults to X-line and goes from there.

The 50i configurator is not working at all.

Lets hope these are actual changes in progress....as in DHP being added to 40i

I am new and am looking to buy 2019 X5 40i, I read somewhere that since we can't order with Sens Tec, the company will give a $1450 credit but this is not showing up in online configurator now but was there earlier, can anyone share what is going on?

That credit was only available for a limited time. It was gone as of late last week based on what I've heard.

Yes, my build from last night is now no longer defaulting to the 40i M-Sport, only shows the X-Line. This is dangerous when giving a build code to a dealer to price - woah. I guess I'll go old school pricing / ordering guide to confirm it all.

I was also playing around with the M340i X-Drive this evening and all of a sudden the Gray V398 Orbit Wheels were appearing when I was changing exterior paint colors.

Something definitely going on with the configuration tool.

Really tempted to order a phytonic blue over carbon black X5 after seeing Car and Driver's instagram post, although I think I'll wait for the M50i with the sweet V8 and 500+ hp.

The VW diesel debacle uncovered the truth about diesels not just in VW's but in BMW's and MB's as well and the EPA/DOT is well aware of this and i would think this move is a reflection of that. Bottom line, all these diesels pollute far more than the companies said they did by 400% or 500%.

Netflix has a new series titled "Dirty Money" and the first one is about the VW diesel mess. It's extremely enlightening and deeply disturbing. Towards the end they talk about BMW and MB. Anyone interested in diesels or fraud in general should watch it.

What swissvax product do you recommend? Do you use the leather care or the stuff for the paint?

Indeed looks better in this lighting. Under direct lighting [sunlight] it looks closer to how it looks on the website. Thanks for sharing. Still can't get over Carbon Black however

Love Ruby Black also, but SOP is only 04/19

Too bad they haven't listed silver yet in the pricing guide - a classic color for this body type IMO.

How do you define "pollute"?

If you buy a vehicle from a manufacturer that certifies that it emits certain pollutants at certain rates and those numbers are actually not what is being emitted but in fact much higher amounts are than you are not only being deceived by a company that you've handed over allot of money to but that company is "polluting" because the "legally allowed" amounts are being greatly exceeded.
Personally I'm not a diesel person or a huge climate change guy either but i don't like being deceived by companies i do business with, air pollution is an issue and companies making diesel vehicles in large numbers emitting 400% and 500% more pollutants into the air than what is legally allowed is not a good thing.
If BMW said the new X5 50i will do 0-60 in say 4.3 sec. and in testing it really did it in 8.5 sec. would that be ok?

Watch the show and see what you think.

Costco BYO vs BMW BYO for 2019 BMW X5

The Costco Auto Program https://www.costcoauto.com allows purchases to build a car online, including the BMW 2019 X5. When building the X5, it includes options that I don't see on the BMW BYO site, including third row seat and running boards.

Anyone understand what is going on?

Thanks.

those are orderable but not in the configurator online. I recommend you look at the ordering guide first. Those options aren't available for builds until next year so that's why BMW online doesn't show them

The costco auto program also gives you leather credit which is no longer available. It needs to be updated. So I recommend building on bmw website and then ask dealer to match costco invoice price
