Rear Climate 1/2 Hot 1/2 Cold

Bringing my X to the dealer tomorrow. The passenger side rear climate only blows ice cold air regardless of temp setting. The driver side rear will do what it's set to. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Update - Dealer said there's a known issue where a cable for controlling one of the sides might not be connected, which is my issue. Guess a manufacturing goof. If you haven't had anyone in your back seat, you may want to check it.

Update 2 - Was working for a few days, now back to blowing cold air. Sigh..

Update 3- Dealing working with Corp. Now waiting on parts from Germany.

No ,but the left air vent behind the arm rest does not blow air at all. All other 4 rear vents work fine. Sucks. Another week or so at dealer. Oh well

I actually have a similar situation on my F15, not with the rear vent but with the passenger vent! Without a particular pattern it starts blowing cold air like the AC would be switched ON to the lowest temp. Toying a bit with the temperature or vent speeds makes it go away, but the easiest way to make it go away is to actually restart the car. I've asked the dealer about it but didn't really like the answer as he said probably the dashboard needs to be taken out to check the vent distributors and see if some of them are worn out or get stuck. I would rather say there's something wrong with the AC as it's definitely ON when such cold air blows from that side. If it happens again (and stays) I'll take the car to the dealer even though I'll soon sell it, but with a new X5 and years to come I woudl ask the dealer to sort it out rather than try to live with it

We have the same but the rear right seat only blows hot air and we are in FL

When the AC in a BMW is working perfectly as designed, it totally sucks.

Can you post what parts you needed so I can pass it along to my service advisor? That way we don't have to play games, it's clearly the same issue.
