Coding A.S.S. on 2021

Working with a coder and we are having a hard time disabling the A.S.S. system. The 2021 X6 we are doing does NOT have a switch to turn it on and off. Has anyone been successful coding a 2021 without the switch? Please let me know and if you would be kind enough to share how you did it. Thank you in advance.

That's the current $100 question :-). I don't think anyone has done it yet on MY2021s, but I would encourage you and your coder contact to persevere. In the meantime, best solution is to setup Sport Individual to mimic whatever mode you want and code to start in that drive mode — Sport x disables ASS.

Thank you for the quick reply, we can't even get that to work....I have put the car in sport mode, turned the car off, got back in the car, started it and A.S.S. is still there? Are you saying that when you turn the car back on its in sport mode? Thanks again for your help.

There is no code discovered so far for remembering last drive mode, but there is code to set default/start drive mode. That's what you need to do to have it start in Sport Individual. Lots of threads on default drive mode here, do a quick search.

Wow.....please tell me that manufacturers aren’t removing the start/stop button.....it has too be one of the most annoying functions ever put into a vehicle (and I’m far from convinced by its emissions ‘savings’ in anything but a prolonged stop)

My X5M remembers the last setting of the A.S.S. Nice that it does it without any coding.

Yes, that is interesting that the M cars do remember last ASS mode! That seems to means that there is software to do so now and that it may now be possible to code it on others to enable that new software "feature" to match the M cars. Some work to do, but minimally: what version of software are you on?

Also, can anyone confirm that F95/F96 are also S18A software main series like the rest of the G05/G06/G07?
