I'm jealous seeing all your cars coming in. I'm week 37 and build date is tomorrow.

You may need to call a few times as it seems not all of them are willing or know how to provide trains tracking information.

Genius just told me they expect mine to leave the factory for delivery on 14th, so 2 day wait on 182 status…hopefully it can be faster than that

Ours arrived at the dealership this evening. Heading to pick it up on Saturday. I’ll be glad when this whole this is over since we were supposed to pick the first one the day the stop sale was announced.

Mine is awaiting carrier assignment this morning. I think I am going to have it shipped from the dealership to my house so I can avoid an entire day of driving to pick it up. It's $650 which seems a bit high, but my time is valuable also and I don't have to take a day off of work.

I'm struggling with this too. The way I rationalized it is I can spend close to $100 on gas. I would stop for lunch and dinner with the family, so that's likely $200 on food, drive 4 hours down and 4 hours back, put all those unnecessary miles on the car. To save about $300.

Or I can sit back and watch it get delivered. I'm going with that

But you will get to enjoy the new vehicle sooner, spend some time with the family and be that much closer to being done with the break-in period.

My m3 days taught me that highway miles are bad for break in. Constant rpm is not good for new engines. I don't know if it's true, but it's what I was told.

And I'll still spend plenty of time annoying my family anxiously waiting for it to arrive. I've been waiting about 10 months for this to be done. What's another day or two.

Not a problem with modern engines. Just drive as you normally would and keep it under the RPM and MPH limits.

It's 4 1/2 hours one way for me. I'm purchasing outright and not trading a vehicle in. Either my wife would have to drive me, I can take an Amtrack which would require I stay overnight, I can fly for $275 and drive it back, or hire someone for about $500 to haul me down there. I'm leaning towards delivery also so I don't waste a day.

I'm just not sure if missing out on the technology person at the dealership to go through the settings will be impactful. I can sit down with a manual and usually figure everything myself.
