I'm still in dispatched from factory status too, but I'm guessing my dealer is aware of the arrival before the status is getting updated. I'm only saying it's getting there today because he called me to tell me.

Also, my dealer is in Maryland, so it's closer trip from SC. I have to get it shipped from the dealer once the deal is complete.

I just updated to Arrived at the Dealership. I asked my CA to send me some pictures when he can. They are sending me the paperwork via FedEx tonight. Once that's done, they will have it shipped up to me.

They also told me they are throwing in Ceramic Coating for no charge as a thank you for using their dealership and smithf80 as my broker.

Exciting stuff.

Thanks. I'm really happy with how it looks. I prefer that dark, flat type of grey that I'm seeing here. Sometimes Skyscraper appears lighter, I guess it's the lighting. I'm excited.

Doing the long drive to Chicago tomorrow to pick mine up. I'm a bit worried as I asked my insurance person 3 days ago to add the vehicle to our policy. She keeps saying I'll have proof of insurance soon, but she isn't responding to emails and according to the dealer I need proof of insurance showing the VIN, I'm not sure why I've never had to have that before, I just had to show I have auto insurance. Maybe an Illinois thing?

Most dealers don't want to let you leave without having proof of insurance, in some cases, it's required for a loan or lease.

That said, I'd be switching agents. Insurance stuff should be able to be done same day without any issue.

Your insurance agent should send a binder to the dealer electronically. I’d get on their case first thing in the am.

Yea I'm calling tomorrow and giving her the business, I gave 3 days notice. But my current agent is in Minnesota and I'm switching to Wisconsin because it's less than half the cost. I'm not sure what the deal is but yes normally when I buy a new vehicle it's almost instant when I call my agent.

Can’t you just call an 800 number and spend two minutes reading a service agent the vin then get an email with your updated documents? What insurance company are you using? Is this a thread from 1992? 🤔

Some people, myself included, use an agent instead of a generic provider like GEICO. Agents work to get you the best coverage and go to market for you when needed.

Although I agree that I would be annoyed if it was taking that long for my agent to get this done. It should be less than a day.
