Carbon Fiber M60i front end

I went and snapped a few pics of the front end of my M60. I love how it all came together.

Wow! Looks great against Dravit. Where were the parts sourced?

Thanks! I got them from Autotecknic. I put a few layers of ceramic coating on it just to give it a deeper look but out the box it was still high quality.

How easy is the front lip to install? Is it just tape and self tapping screws?

The front lip wasn’t easy to install due to the clips being too thick. While the carbon fiber was high quality, the molds were slightly off and had to be modified with a dremel to make it work. I used a light adhesive and tape to make sure the figment was good.

Thanks for the update. I’ve been looking at the one from RW Carbon and wonder if that fitment is any better.

Do you have to rear diffuser too and if so how is that install? I don’t mind having to modify slightly, but not sure I want to be taking off bumpers.

Yes I do have a diffuser. I had to remove the bumper but it was because I had to uninstall a tow hitch to put it on. I have both Autotecknic and RW Carbon parts and they are pretty identical and have the same modification requirements. I am pretty sure they get them from the same or similar suppliers in China.

Is the front lip from RW Carbon? I have their front lip, side skirts and rear winglets but I haven’t even installed them yet. I ordered them back in June. currently have an Amazon special on mine but the fitment is wack. I spent the money to order parts from them and I hope it’s a perfect fit.

The front lip is Autotecknic. I have both RW Carbon and Autotecknic parts and they are identical quality wise. I’ve had some pieces that went on with no issue and some that needed a little bit of motivation. My RW Carbon side skirts were very straight forward to install. It took 10 minutes.

Does the front bumper need to come off to install the vent covers on the left and right corners?

Thanks,
Dave

I’m curious to know myself.

I had to take the bumper off to get them on. I’m sure there are some crafty enough to do it without taking it off but I wasn’t able to.
