New 2020 X5 M50i

Just got this today. I had an order in for an SQ8 but just got tired of waiting. Only driven it home, but so far it's great! I'm coming from an S7 and it's just as fast as that! The technology is a little bewildering versus the 2017 S7, but I'm sure I'll get use to it.

Congrads & welcome to the M50i club. Actually the M50i is faster than the S7.

Thanks everyone. Nothing beats that "new car feeling." Loving it.

  • Brown Ash

  • Drivers Assistance Pro Package
  • Luxury Seating Package
  • Air Suspension
  • Leather Dashboard

  • Extended Shadowline Trim
  • Front and Rear Heated Seats
  • Luggage-Compartment Package
  • 22 M Wheels 724M
  • Trailer Hitch

This was a dealer build as I purchased it off the lot. The only thing I would have added is Acoustic Glass, but even without it, it's quieter than my S7 (which did have acoustic glass all around). It's kind of weird but I couldn't find my interior color on BMW's online build tool.

Great, how do you feel about moving from a sport sedan to a sport SUV? I currently drive an M550 and I think I may switch to the X5 M50 next, but I am scared that I will miss the more nimble ride of the sedan.

That’s actually a good question. I, too, was a bit apprehensive and subsequently resisted the move to an SUV just for that very same reason. My S7 was a compromise.

I really cannot tell a difference in the “sporty” handling department. Of course, that’s likely very subjective—and my S7 was a boat to begin with—but they both satisfy that handling need, at least in my brief stint.

I’m glad I’m made the switch. Kind of regret not doing it sooner. The extra space and room is great.
